According to my source, Marcus Rashford is not injured. He is reportedly fully fit, and his recent absence from the squad is said to be related to his mental well-being rather than a physical problem.
I’m told that during Manchester United’s first training session after the Atlético Madrid match, Rashford approached Michael Carrick and explained that he had been struggling mentally since returning to the club.
He told the manager that the constant toxicity and hostility he has received from sections of the Manchester United fanbase have severely affected his confidence and that he needs time away to recover mentally.
Carrick is said to have understood his situation and approved a three-week break, with Rashford expected to return to the squad against Chelsea.
