Sofia Raffaeli will undergo a planned arthroscopic knee surgery, the Italian Gymnastics Federation announced.
The surgery was already scheduled after the World Championships, and does not have anything to do with the road accident Raffaeli was recently involved in.
As per the FGI, Raffaeli's injuries from the road accident shall heal without any significant consequences (she was briefly treated in hospital).

World Gymnastics confirmed the RGI and RGG Olympic quotas for LA28, so here is how we stand.
It's gonna be a bloodbath for European groups, max. 6 can still qualify (I'm counting with China qualifying from either the WCup Series or Baku 2017) and there are like 10 good groups
The thought occured to me that the most cursed routine swap in RG would be exchanging Darja's and Stili's ribbon with each other (both of which fit the respective gymnasts perfectly) 🙃
If count is right, the 6 gold winning delegations mean a record high in the history of the World Championships!
