Even in the midst of his own rebellion, we remain pursued by God and maintain our worth. When facing eminent death, we stand before eternity. Meaning, therefore, cannot be earned by success or lost by its collapse. Rather it is unalienable and intrinsic, endowed by our creator.

SHAKE ALERT: A powerful M5.9 quake just struck near Dayton, NV. Its shallow depth means shaking was felt intensely across Carson City and Reno. Brace for aftershocks!

🚩 Critical Fire Weather Alert 🚩
Southern California is facing critical fire weather through Wednesday.
Life-threatening winds and dangerously low humidity are forecast for much of Southern California - from Ventura to San Diego - creating a significant risk of rapid fire spread.

Southern California fires remain dangerous. The wind event is one of the most challenging I’ve seen in my 40 year career. Deep thanks to all responders & mutual aid assets pouring in from throughout CA & neighbor states working to save lives & property.

When I was young, if I didn’t need to work, I’d probably have just stayed in bed all day.
Work pushed me to overcome my fears. I'm a better person because of it.
Now, some want Universal Basic Income - “free money.”
The problem? It gives people a reason NOT to work:
Is it healthy? Every morning for breakfast, I have the same thing.
- Fried Egg
- Cottage Cheese
- Whole wheat toast
- Handful of tomatoes
- Salt and Pepper

It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the off-duty passing of Fire Captain Jason Craig. Captain Craig’s passing marks a profound loss to our department and the firefighting community.
The problem with this is that we need the US mail infrastructure for communications redundancy. We have become too dependent on the electron. A few systemic disruptions and up will wish that you had that capability.
I say privatize it, and better yet: let us opt-out of receiving physical mail.
I bet 30%+ of Americans would gladly opt-out. Send us an email, a text, a phone call, a carrier pigeon. Anything but physical mail.
Alongside federal funding, the USPS gets a lot of its funding through bulk mail prepaid postage. In other works: junk mail.
Why are my tax dollars going towards an organization that is effectively spamming me with physical junk mail? It’s the worst of both worlds.
It’s beyond frustrating to dig through piles of junk to find the one thing that might actually be important. And of course, all the spam mail these days prints “important” on the envelope 🤦♂️
