This story took a month, 5 interviews, 10 drafts, and hours upon hours of editing. I wanted to tell the story of why Nick Oliver chose the staff he did and I couldn't be happier with how this came out. Thank you to everyone for trusting me with their stories.

Something I think a lot more people need to keep in mind is that a majority of PWHL coverage is done by people who have to have full time jobs on the side. Itās a privilege to do this full time & something that in my experience, is still mostly reserved for men.

Incredibly disappointing that this is yet another thing women's hockey has to experience and figure out. The IIHF making the teams wait until days before the tournament starts with NO word on the situation is embarrassing. These athletes deserve better.
Neither the U.S. or Canada knows whether its players will be permitted to wear their traditional crests when women's worlds begins next week.
Instead, they may be forced to wear generic jerseys from True Hockey. For example (per Swiss court docs):

Update: Freshman forward Hayden Paupanekis, who missed the Oct. 17 Boston College game with a lower-body injury, didn't seem limited in today's practice and appears ready to play vs. Arizona State. Brock Souch remains out with an upper-body injury. (Photo Prout)

Been watching Sanni's journey for the last few years and a lot more closely since I first wrote about her in 2024. I can believe she's accomplished so much bc she's such a go-getter and she doesn't expect any less of herself. It's such a joy to watch her reach her goals!
Back-to-back #WomensWorlds bronze medals, making history as the first Finnish goaltender to sign in the PWHL, then making her Olympic debut in 2026. š«š®š Whatās next for Sanni Ahola? š

Finally got a good performance from a goalie in my fantasy team only for the Ducks to do that and cancel it out šš
Oh, so they're going to mention an Anaheim Ducks Grateful Dead night and then not have anything about it online?!? š
I went to close my account after they implemented this and the attitude they gave me in person was so funny. Anyway, when I walked into my new credit union they gave me snacks to take with me š
