From my immersion this summer with the our most junior future colleagues, I was hammered daily on the head with something that was glaringly evident: today’s learners are really the first generation to train alongside AI from the outset. It isn't we'll Google it. It is: we'll run it through Chat. Our theme for the Summer of Vibes projects this year at Scarborough Health Network wanted to capture this - Build the medical school of the future. The health professions education academy. This Friday at Grand Demo Day, students will showcase what they've done: working technologies and research across three horizons: 1/ AI: What can these tools do now? 2/ Human + AI: How can people and AI learn and work together? 3/ Human + AI systems: How must education and healthcare evolve around that partnership? The future of health professions education will not be built for students. It will be built with them.
