There is no "shove" from Nigel Farage. I’ve had bigger "shoves" during rush hour on the tube. The LibDems are clearly lying.

Teach all of it. The kings who sold people. The ships that carried them. And the Royal Navy that hunted those ships for sixty years, freeing 150,000 people, with Kru sailors from West Africa on board.

Britain took on fifty nations. African kings. Arab sultans.
Bombarded ports. Deposed rulers who refused. Lost 1,600 men. Spent 40% of the entire Treasury.
A debt so big it wasn't paid off until 2015. You or your parents were still paying for it.
Not for land. Not for gold.
To end the slave trade.
They captured 1,600 ships. Freed 150,000 people. Patrolled 3,000 miles of coastline for sixty years.
And none of it was the government's idea. It was 400,000 ordinary people who signed petitions and 300,000 families who refused to buy sugar.
They forced Parliament's hand. Your ancestors changed the world and nobody told you.

The other side of this is also seen in the civil lawsuit filed against Farwell, his brother and Robert Devine. Count IX is a 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claim. I'll be writing about this in an article titled: The Sandra Birchmore Case: Why Testimony in Matthew Farwell's Murder Trial Could Have Consequences Beyond the Criminal Court. It will examine the constitutional questions behind the estate's civil rights lawsuit against former Stoughton police officers.

It looks to be election interference to me.
If a broadcaster like ITV deliberately paid reporters to damage Reform UK candidates and influence an election result, that would raise serious questions about the integrity of our democracy.
Was there deliberate political manipulation? What was the intention, and was any law broken?
These are questions that deserve proper scrutiny, not political excuses.
Ofcom must examine any potential breach of broadcasting rules, and if credible evidence points to criminal conduct, the police should investigate.
No party should be above the law. Neither should any broadcaster.
Democracy depends on fair elections, transparency and accountability. The same rules must apply to everyone.

There is a degree of desperation evident in the way the media are pushing Badenoch and the Tories.
I suspect that after all this effort if Reform are still taking Tory seats come the new year then Badenoch will be history.

I’m sorry but I’m a bit obsessed with Rocky’s fur and the lovely weight he has put on at the moment.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think he’d look this good after we found him in such bad shape. Insane 😳

Today Reform sought to end Bradford Council’s ‘City of Sanctuary’ migration farce.
It was defeated by one vote.
The Tories didn’t back it. Some even voted against it. Shameful.

I found it hard to keep my cool in a question to the minister on Russian interference in the Brexit vote. It is an insult to Leave voters - but even more exasperating is the government's gaslighting with ministers going on about what Andy Burnham did or didn't say, when we all heard him!

Five years ago today, Sir David Amess was murdered by an Islamist extremist.
He was a brilliant parliamentarian who diligently served his constituents in Southend.
David’s family are still awaiting answers about what went wrong. They deserve so much better.

A tribute to one who faced death with enormous courage, after a full life, graphically and movingly chronicling its end. Many of you are grieving his loss. Not a man of faith, but please read his pinned post for his alternative very excellent guide to life. RIP Robin @WhatNowDoc

Dear all, James here, I’m Robin’s proud son.
I’m posting from Dad’s phone to let those of you who knew him here, know that he passed away this morning.
He had an enormous amount of time for this place, the conversations, arguments, humour and friendships he found here, so I know he would have wanted me to tell you.
His last few weeks were difficult, but he was surrounded by people who loved him and I was with him when he died.
Thank you to everyone who entertained him, challenged him, supported him and made him laugh over the years.
I probably won’t be replying to messages for a while, I don’t even know how on this platform you read them 🤷🏻♂️🤨😂, you fuckers should try Facebook more. For ease, easier to navigate and more fruitful watching what your neighbours cooked for dinner 🧐🤭
I’ll make sure anything important is seen.
Bless you all. Robin was an amazing man, my Dad 🥂🙏💔
James ❤️

Good grief.

Burnham’s comments on Russian interference are a sign of readiness to get back into Brexit as a subject, to rally the Remain camp, to retoxify the debate, and to delegitimise the referendum result.
We must get ready.

This is just not true. As soon as I became foreign secretary I asked the security services the same question and they replied that there was no evidence of any successful interference in the 2016 referendum, by Russia or any other power.
Either the security services have changed their view - which would be very odd - or Burnham is lying about what he has been told. After all Starmer was in power for two years and had access to exactly the same information.

Teddy is still available as his last offer of a home fell through. Can you please share to help him on his way?
Teddy is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix - he is available and looking for a new home.
He eats Ava sensitive skin and stomach mix from Pets at Home.
Teddy is good in the car but only use to short journeys.
He sleeps in the kitchen at night but would sometimes also sleep in his owners bed.
He is registered with the vets and can be left on his own if you need to go out.
Teddy is a big boy, he may knock small kids over, so he would suit a home with older dog savvy kids 10+.
He loves people and is good once he gets a clap, but he is wary of men wearing hats.
Teddy can be strong on the lead being a big lad, he use to go walking with a dog walker and was fine.
Teddy loves a ball rope, he likes to chew on the rope until it's untied.
He likes treats.
There isn't much that Teddy doesn't like, however he doesn't like the sound of metal/shutter noise as he got a fright when he was a puppy.
Teddy loves lying in bed under the covers. He would be best in a home with no other pets or cats.
He isn't really fussed by other dogs when he is out walking.
Teddy knows basic commands.
For more information or to offer Teddy a new home please email [email protected]

There was a situation at my daughter’s school last week which left her in tears. I went in to the school the day after to let them know we were removing her with immediate effect. The head teacher tried to explain but I had no interest in her excuses or reasons.
The school had a play and an open evening for next year’s new pupils, and my daughter’s class were asked to take the potential new pupils and their parents for a tour of the school and classes.
My daughter is the most softly spoken, polite and friendly child you’d probably ever meet. She’s one of just 40 Jewish pupils at the school out of over a thousand children. My wife wanted her to go to a non Jewish school because she felt concerned about the security threats at Jewish schools, and I don’t have much say in the matter as I’m just the dad. Our youngest goes to a Jewish school and the security simply isn’t anywhere good enough. This would be both their last year at school in this country because we’d already made the decision to leave the country before their next school year.
My oldest wears a tiny discreet Star of David pendant. It’s so inoffensive to anybody but allows her to express her Jewish faith in a small way.
When it was her turn in line to greet the family she would show around, the family was a Muslim family. My daughter has no personal issue with anybody and is friendly with two Muslim girls in her class who aren’t bothered by her being Jewish. But this family clearly were. In front of everyone, the father refused to be shown around by “a Jew”. He apparently, according to several parents and a teacher, raised his voice at her, and demanded that another child show them around. Instead of the head teacher condemning his behavior and telling him to leave, she asked my daughter to step aside and asked another pupil to show them around. Nobody except other parents, non Jewish parents, came to my daughter to ask if she was even ok. She was in a flood of tears, frightened and confused.
My wife got a phone call from another parent and insisted she would go fetch our daughter because she already knew what I would do had I gone there myself. But this is what we live in now. This is the new normal.
For reasons of what will come next, I won’t name the school. But this is going to escalate, a lot.

The irony is that Burnham’s great strength coming in to Downing Street was apparently that he was a brilliant communicator.
In much the same way as Starmer was forensic with details. Funny old world.
🚣Burnham now seriously rowing back on Brexit/Russia in the Commons
He says: "It is a matter of record, Mr Speaker, that Russian actors sought to interfere in the 2019 general election, and we think it is inconceivable that this was the first time."
But on the Rest Is Politics he said: "I asked the question coming to Downing Street, was there interference in the 2016 referendum from Russia? And I've had the clear answer that yes, there was."
But "we think it's inconceivable" is very different to "clear answer" of successful interference.
