Protecting Ontario's environment and growing our economy go hand in hand. My plan will: ✅ Make Ontario a cleantech powerhouse ✅ Protect 30% of Ontario's nature by 2030, including the Greenbelt ✅ Address the impact of climate change on health ✅ Build a cleaner, more affordable, more reliable grid In my first 100 days as Premier, I'll review the environmental protections Doug Ford has weakened or eliminated, and develop a plan to fix them. Swipe for the full plan ➡️ Vote by Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.

I am committed to ending homelessness and making housing more affordable across Ontario. Last year, I co-sponsored the Homelessness Ends with Housing Act, a cross-party effort to develop a plan to end homelessness in Ontario within 10 years. As Leader, I have developed a comprehensive housing and homelessness plan to make sure every Ontarian has access to a home they can afford.  You can read my full plan at leefairclough.ca/policy/hous…

I guess they're extending the Wonder Voyage Arc to possibly 25 episodes like the 1st Arc of Horizons! I just hope they don't extend this Arc too much & drag it on for another 20+ episodes! #anipoke

Models are picking up the possibility of our first snowstorm of the year in Southern Ontario around Friday next week. Watching closely how this evolves with some models showing a miss just to the south and others showing impacts in Southern ON. #ONStorm #ONwx

I expect this to happen many more times this Fall & Winter. The long range ensemble guidance almost always skews warm.

This counts as a "cold snap" -- only slightly below normal / average for a few days: Next Thursday into next weekend + chance of snowfall in mid-Atlantic and Northeast❄️ Then, much above normal temperatures return -- all that red 🟥marches east into 2nd half of November.

Toronto and the GTA are set to experience the coldest temperatures of the season next week, with daytime highs dropping to around 5°C, overnight lows near 0°C and windchills making it feel as cold as -7°C after days of unseasonably warm weather

Gov. Greg Abbott has directed @TDEM to mobilize additional state emergency response resources in anticipation of rain and flooding expected to impact the state this weekend. Heed local warnings. Turn around, don’t drown!

Some more great maps from SWE detailing how an early-November SSW, like we have this year, can impact snowfall across the country in December and January. Obviously not a guarantee of anything, but you can see how widespread the above average anomaly is (in blue shading) across nearly the entire country both months. A little worrying seeing such stout below average anomalies out West in January though, really need a good winter for them. Don't write this winter off just because it's a Super El Nino. No two winters are alike, and even the slightest change in the pattern can have immense impacts down the road. There's also decent support for colder anomalies in both months, especially toward the northern tier, though I'm wary to forecast that with how active our Pacific Jet will be. Gonna be hard to fight against the constant influx of warm Pacific air all season long. Read their article here: severe-weather.eu/long-range…

I welcomed Quebec Premier @PaulPlamondon to Ontario this afternoon for a productive meeting. Ontario and Quebec are stronger when we work together to stand up to tariffs, protect workers, attract investment and create jobs.

Next week looking colder on each model run for the eastern half of North America. Verdict still out if this is directly correlated to ongoing SSW/Polar Vortex disruption. Regardless, it's interesting stuff.

The first Ontario Line tunnel boring machine, Libby, has broken through at the future King West Station after tunnelling its way 1.3 kilometres from Exhibition Station. It’s another great sign of the progress being made on the transformational Ontario Line, which is supporting 4,700 jobs every year and putting nearly 230,000 people in walking distance of transit. news.ontario.ca/en/release/1…
