My thoughts on MW4 so far:
1.) The maps are awful. They’re all a convoluted mess of doors, windows, and dozens of spots to cross over to different lanes. Don’t get me wrong, I think they look beautiful, but they need to have flow.
2.) The spawns are too inconsistent. Because spawns are so heavily dependent on players’ cones of visibility now, it seems like anytime you reposition to keep watch of enemies coming from their spawn, they just flip to a different spot. By the time you look to the new spot, they flip again. Then repeat this… every single game. Spawn trapping is annoying, but similarly balanced teams should theoretically be able to break out of spawn traps.
3.) The weapon and gunsmith design is pretty awesome, but almost every attachment has a bunch of cons. I would rather attachments be balanced by increasing or decreasing how much they benefit players rather than providing one or two significant benefits and then one or two massive cons.
4.) Sniper flinch sucks. Re-chamber and firing stability sucks. Recoil sucks. These snipers could be awesome, but it’s so inconsistent and unsatisfying.
5.) Sniper variety is great in this game. I love variety of optics and all the different one shot guns to choose from. I would like to see increased Vulcan fire rate though just to match the fast TTK of this game. Otherwise, most snipers are just going to spam marksman rifles.
6.) ADS movement speed and Strafing speed needs to be faster. Movement overall is great, and it feels grounded. The strafing speeds are so slow though that it feels like I have to flick 90* to the side to move to the side at all.
7.) Too many game modes. If all the casuals click random featured game modes, classic modes like Hardpoint and domination just get a butt load of sweats lol.
8.) 10v10. Nuff said. Ground war is too big. 6v6 is too slow. Give us our chaos.
9.) SBMM. I don’t even want to argue about this. It makes it feel unrewarding to be a good player. How can a good player play casually if they’re forced to play sweats every game? It’s like playing ranked but without the reward. Team balancing is supposed to balance the skill gap in each lobby.
I’m not sure what else to list. MW4 has a lot of great features, but it gets annoying to snipe on after a while because I feel constantly disadvantaged and can’t get into any sort of steady flow. 30 seconds between gunfights, but they’re over in 350ms lol.

Ngl boys.. I’m struggling to have fun with the Sniping on Modern Warfare 4 rn :/
I genuinely feel like I’m holding a walrus. The snipers are so janky and clunky that it feels like my character is struggling just to hold the weapon. Follow-up shots are frustratingly difficult because of how much the scope and gun wobble around, aka the “rechamber accuracy”, a problem that’s already been addressed in the last three CODs. The slower ADS speeds only makes things worse.
I understand wanting to balance snipers, but there are ways to do that without ruining the overall feel of the class.
The “rechamber accuracy” stat needs to be removed entirely or toned down significantly. Learning to center your shots and stay consistent with a sniper while managing recoil is already a skill in itself. Having the gun, scope, and reticle shake all over the screen on top of that is excessive and makes sniping feel unnecessarily clunky and inconsistent. It doesn’t add meaningful balance.. it just makes the class frustrating to use
As for the Mosin, other than the rechamber accuracy it feels great. But 55 RPM? Why would I want to use a rifle that gets twice as many hitmarkers for only a 3 RPM difference compared to the Vulcan? Marksman rifles should stand out for their speed, with the trade-off being lower damage. That’s what gives them their identity.
Hope to see some changes soon

SBMM is honestly exhausting in MW4. I can’t lie to you guys, Multiplayer just isn’t fun right now. Sniping feels incredibly slow unless you’re using the marksman rifles, and every lobby feels like players are constantly holding hands, stacking together, and refusing to move around the map. Like, come on, this is Call of Duty. MOVE AROUND! 😡
I genuinely enjoyed both weekends of the MW4 Multiplayer Beta, so how did the full launch end up feeling worse than the beta? Why does Call of Duty seem to take 10 steps forward and 12 steps backward every single year?
The spawns feel completely illogical, hit registration is still an issue, and the constant camping and stacking are making matches miserable. Even OG Call of Duty players in my lobbies are fed up with how Multiplayer feels right now.
The game is genuinely exhausting to play, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to improve when SBMM makes every lobby feel like I’m competing in COD Champs. There’s a difference between playing against good players and feeling like every single match is a tournament.
Call of Duty needs to find a better balance. Multiplayer should reward skill, movement, and individual gunfights without making every match feel like a professional competition. I enjoyed the beta, and I want to enjoy the full game, but right now, the experience just isn’t there. We need to start moving forward instead of repeating the same mistakes every year. @CallofDuty @InfinityWard @CallofDutyCM @CODUpdates
