We're raising a generation of cognitive passengers where...
Every problem solved for them.
Every struggle smoothed.
Every answer pre-fetched.
The fix is tolerating their struggle long enough for thinking to happen.
MIT analyzed over 300 enterprise AI deployments and found that 95% are getting zero return.
Not low. Zero.
$40 billion invested, and almost none of it moves the P&L.
We're buying software to solve a thinking problem, and therein lies the problem.
Friction is the new intelligence and it lives in...
The rough draft.
The awkward pause.
The manual struggle.
In a world optimized to remove it, these are the last places original thought still lives.
Protect it.
Here's the most underrated skill in 2026:
The willingness to be the slowest person in the meeting.
Not because you can't move fast, but because you've noticed something the room hasn't.
If no one owns the call, no one learns from the failure.
AI didn't decide, the algorithm didn't decide, but someone in the room did.
Put your name on it.
Otherwise you're just laundering instead of leading.
Stanford tested 11 AI models on 12,000 prompts and found that AI affirmed users 49% more than humans do - even when those users were wrong, deceptive, or about to cause harm.
One interaction made people less willing to apologize, whihc means sycophancy is teaching us to never be wrong.
It was inevitable that this would go viral..the world is concerned about AI and we need new norms and ethics…115 million views and counting

Discernment is the ability to choose what matters when everything sounds confident.
The world is drowning in plausible answers.

AI writing is A-ok if you’re a billionaire. For everyone else, it can be a career-ending scandal. linkedin.com/pulse/ai-writin…
Microsoft surveyed 319 knowledge workers using AI.
The variable that predicted whether AI helped or hurt them?
Not technical skill.
Not the tool.
Self-confidence.
People who trusted themselves used AI well.
People who deferred to it got worse.
Just a reminder the "blue books" are back and a good time to ensure higher educators are rethinking how to assess students in the AI era.
MIT JUST CANCELED “AI DETECTORS” IN A NEW REPORT!
MIT just kicked the detector industry in the teeth.
They kicked to the curb unless “AI Detectors” and just wrote a manifesto to all schools to do the same.

I’m glad Bill Gates is speaking out on AI - we are truly not the least bit prepared for many of the economic and social impacts.

I would strongly urge the @WSJ to reconsider their stance on knowingly publishing fully AI-written content.
It breaks the social contract between the reader and the institution.
It is a race to the bottom.
Please reconsider.
