If you write Python loops, you can already write Mojo loops. The syntax is the same: for, while, break, continue. To repeat something n times, use for _ in range(n): Comprehensions work, too, i.e. [x * x for x in range(5)] The biggest difference is speed. Mojo compiles your loop to native machine code, while Python interprets one step at a time. We counted the primes below 2 million with the same trial-division loop in both languages (no sieve): Python took 2.8 seconds, Mojo took 57 ms. More quick references in the Mojo cheat sheets: mojolang.org/docs/reference/…

Apologies to anyone affected by my late renewal of my dev certs. Fell down. Hospital. Physical Rehab. Apple insisting on auditing that I'm really me. I can't get into dev site to re-issue. Hopefully later this week. Thank you again for your support

Wolfram isn't free anymore. I don't trust OpenAI. Anyone willing to help? A set of numbers are created w/ uniform distribution between 1 and M ([a, b, c, d, etc]). Each member is mapped to a uniform distribution between 1 and itself. What skew/characteristics result? Name?

Looking for fairly specific tooling for Web, Mac, or iOS/iPadOS similar to agile retro: brainstorm, group related items together (preferably w/ dragging), refine, prioritize, build out action items. Difficulty factor: for single user to develop (and preferablly track) todos.

Any mermaid css styling that looks, well, chic? Not 1990s retro spartan?

I am a big @ericasadun fan now.🤩 Tried for years to get her to iOS Conf SG, and then @JaninaKutyn worked her magic to reach her. But at the last minute, Erica couldn't travel due to a medical reason. However, she went above and beyond, recorded her talk, and sent it our way.
While you're twiddling your thumbs waiting for the #iOSConfSG videos, here's a gem from Erica Sadun (@ericasadun). She missed the show but sent a video on submitting Swift proposals. What a legend! 👏❤️🤗 youtube.com/watch?v=HvT8xP6u…

A readability score is not a pass or fail of communication. It's a goal to make writing simple, clear, and unfussy. Sometimes sentences grow long. When writing technical topics, big words are unavoidable.

Friendly developer communication means trying to make the right choices to lower the effort it takes to understand and use that information. A foolish adherence to readability guidelines makes short choppy sentences without heart or fluency.

Normally I see 36 ° and I freak out “cold. Cold. Cold!!” After last week, I’m going “ooooh, Tropical!” #cantcomparetosingapore :(

Unfortunately, @ericasadun couldn't make it to Singapore for #iOSConfSG due to a medical reason. Our best wishes are with Erica. 🫶 Despite missing the live event, she'll record her talk for our YouTube channel. Looking forward to sharing her insights post-conference! 🙏✨

Another burn on my arm. So I did this: Phone/Watch > Workout > Disable everything, esp "Start Workout Reminder" and "Press to Pause" and Phone/Watch > Privacy > Fitness Tracking (less sure that this one is important) Wish me luck
