Maybe it’s time for closed communities. No AI, real humans only, and strict verification before joining.
I’m getting tired of not knowing whether I’m talking to a person or just another bot.
I migrated my blog's code highlighting to diffs.com/highlights by Pierre.
Then OpenAI acquired them.
You're welcome, @pierrecomputer.
Any other software you want me to start using so it gets acquired too?
Will we ever get another chance to buy the best cryptocurrency for under $1,000?
Yes, I'm talking about $ZEC.
Did we miss the opportunity, or is this just the beginning?
What do you think? 👀
I mentioned Railway in my blog post on October 21, and they got hacked the very same day. Apparently my tech stack recommendations are now security advisories. 💀

AI-generated games are mostly ugly, boring, unplayable slop.
Everyone keeps saying AI is changing game development, so where are the good games?
Prove me wrong. Show me ONE AI-generated game that's actually worth playing.
Do you have a blog? Or know someone who does? Share the link with me so I can add it to Elseweb!
You can also suggest a blog at elseweb.net.
A reminder that AI still can't be trusted.
Today, it implemented table pagination with a "Load more" button. It loads the first 50 results, then loads ALL the remaining results when you click "Load more".
And sorting only works once everything is loaded.
Brilliant.
I built Elseweb because I’m tired of how hard it is to find people’s own writing online.
Everywhere I look, I see promoted articles, company blogs, and ads dressed up as something worth reading. I miss finding someone’s personal website and reading what they think, what they’re making, or what they’ve learned.
That’s what I want Elseweb to help me find. Maybe you’re looking for the same thing.
This is the first version. I have plenty of ideas for improvements and new features, but putting it out into the world gives me the motivation to keep building.
Have a blog of your own? Suggest it on Elseweb so other people can find your writing.

Wanted simple self-hosting for a weekend project.
Somehow ended up with Ansible, OpenTofu, signed deploys and way more security than I need.
It's fun.
Looking for a local AI agent orchestration tool.
The workflow I want:
🧠 Agent A → Investigate & plan
💻 Agent B → Implement
🔍 Agent A → Review
🔧 Agent B → Fix
🔁 Repeat until approved
Requirements:
100% local orchestration
External agents (Claude Code, Codex)
Anyone?
Just installed Halloy and connected to IRC for the first time in... I have no idea how long. Are people still chatting there, or is everyone just idling with their away message set since 2005? 👀
Is GitHub Copilot (Desktop) really that far behind Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor/Grok, and Devin, or is it just my bubble?
Anyone actually prefer it?
OK @Hetzner_Online, side project incoming.
2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, one Go binary, one Postgres, zero users.
I hope you have enough resources for the three people who will click the link.
Thinking about hosting again for my side projects. Hetzner? Scaleway? Google Cloud?
What I want: secure by default, little devops, everything in OpenTofu/IaC, affordable for projects that might get 0 users or 100k. Managed Postgres is a must, I am done running my own.
What do you use and why?
