People don’t want to hear this…
It’s why so much of the relationship advice online today is slop.
It caters to one side of the dynamic, validates every frustration, and makes people believe that love should be effortless as long as they find the “right person.”
Here’s the truth:
Real, lasting relationships require an enormous amount of tolerance.
You have to accept that the person you love will disappoint you.
There will be pain.
There will be irritation.
There will be moments when you question each other, misunderstand each other, and struggle to find your way back to one another.
That’s inevitable.
The real question is: Are you willing to face the highs and lows together, even when the lows outnumber the highs?
Because that’s the part nobody wants to talk about.
Love is recognizing that the person standing beside you is just as flawed as you are.
They have weaknesses, insecurities, doubts, and wounds of their own.
Love is learning to see beyond the arguments and stop labeling their flaws as “narcissistic” or “abuse” to feel justified in leaving.
It’s choosing understanding over pride, offering an apology even when you weren’t the only one at fault, and recognizing that being right isn’t always more important than making things right.
You will never find someone who checks every box, meets every expectation, or gives you everything you think you need.
At some point, you have to decide whether you love the person in front of you, not just the version of them you wish they could be.
Because the beauty of love isn’t finding someone who never gives you a reason to struggle.
It’s finding someone who is willing to struggle through life with you, and choosing, together, to keep building something worth protecting.

Kuwait’s State Security Circuit issued death sentences today against prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Hussein Abdullah al-Matouq and two others on controversial charges of espionage and plotting to assassinate First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad al-Yousef al-Sabah.
According to KUNA, the anti-terror court handed capital punishment to Matouq—the secretary-general of the National Islamic Alliance—along with Hassan Abdulhadi Hajieh and Iranian national Abdulreza Haidar Dehqani, while sentencing eight co-defendants to five-year prison terms.
The capital rulings are part of an escalating political campaign targeting Kuwait's Shia minority and domestic political dissidents under the guise of national security.
Hajieh was previously pardoned by royal decree in a similar security case before being re-arrested by state security forces, reflecting the government's routine reliance on recycled espionage charges to intimidate community leaders and suppress independent political organizing.
The sentences come amid broader efforts by Gulf monarchies to align domestic security policies with western strategic priorities and criminalize ties to regional Resistance movements.
Legal defense representatives confirmed that the State Security Circuit's rulings will be appealed, emphasizing that the prosecution relied on coerced testimonies and political framing to manufacture an alleged conspiracy against state authorities.

I used to worry that the Wahhabis would transform Syria into Jordan 2.0.
But apparently they have created a state and military far weaker than Jordan, such that they are being bullied by King Abdullah.
Meanwhile they continue to scream about how they are brave "heroes" who are on the verge of liberating the ummah.
In reality, the Wahhabis are preparing to transfer all of Southern Syria (possibly including Damascus) to Israel for a mass campaign of ethnic cleansing, in what could become the Syrian Nakbah.

Me repeating ‘Brush your teeth!’ 5 times taught my son to ignore me until I got annoyed.
Now, we:
1) discuss beforehand- Make your bed or you lose the pokemon cards.
2) I count to 3 out loud, then ‘go put the cards up til tomorrow.’
3) well done job? You earned tech time!
I stole this discipline trick from the military.
My kids used to ignore me until I repeated myself 5 times.
Now they respond the first time. Every time.
Here's what changed:
I give the instruction once. Then I count to 3 in my head.
If they haven't moved by 3, immediate consequence. No warning. No negotiation.
They learned: Dad's words mean something.
Consistency beats volume.
