We're live from Boulder. #ethmerge #proofofstake

just met Paul Dano at Laguardia’s baggage claim 🤩

The day we knew was coming for years has come, but that doesn’t make it any easier. On Wednesday I helped my sweet Howie peacefully lose her battle with cancer. She fell asleep eating her favorite food, in her favorite grassy patch, surrounded by her favorite people. Thank you for being in my life, Howie. You were never supposed to be mine, but I was lucky enough to live a third of my life with you. You watched me grow up. I tried every day to give you the best kitty life possible. You were my soul cat. Everyone that knew me, knew you. For the rest of my life I will be loving and missing you. You set the bar so high that nothing else can ever reach. Howie was the best lady. I fell in love with her from the moment she laid on my chest in 2016. She was sweet, she was kind, she was loving, and she was SO funny. She loved belly rubs, booty smacks, whisker rubs, and went crazy for the sound of a tuna can. She followed me everywhere, slept between my legs, and woke me up with meows. Found in a tree in 2015, she wanted to go outside first thing in the morning, every morning. We both got so used to the morning routine. She’d come home for food & water, and leave again to go explore. I was her safety, her consistency, her home, no matter the location; and she was mine. We went through so many changes together, but we always had each other, and that kept us feeling grounded. She brought me so much joy. After the cancer diagnosis I decided to prioritize her happiness. We rented homes with yards just for her, and spoiled her the best we could. She tolerated her cancer care SO well, she was such a trooper. Even on chemo, she’d scale 6-foot fences, hunt, and jump for toys. I’m so grateful for the time we’ve had together, for the doctors who gave her such kind, gentle care these last few years, and successfully gave us a few more years together. I will hear you in every gust of wind, every drop of rain, every call of a bird, every chirp of a cricket; sounds of the world that you loved listening to. I love you so much, my sweet Howie. I will never forget you as long as I live. Our love was so deep, I know we are bound to be together again. Howie Schweitzer (2015 - 2026)
