I’ve warned Democrats for months about Hasan Piker’s efforts to insert himself into our party. Read my op-ed in The Washington Post about why the normalization of Piker within the Democratic Party is a mistake Democrats cannot afford to make. wapo.st/4cyGZyT

You can’t just love your country when you win. It’s a lesson Trump will never understand.
BREAKING: Donald Trump just announced that he is planning to sue to try and stop Alaska from certifying their election results should Mary Peltola win. He is laying the groundwork for delegitimizing the midterm elections because he knows he's losing. This has to be stopped.

Imagine the typical Democrat or staff being bold enough to give this speech or write these TPs for the party's fundraising gala. "Not all Democrats think the same... I'm a conservative Democrat." @PulidoForTexas will flip a district Trump won by 18 points on election night.

Suozzi’s won multiple times in tough races. This is how it’s done. A masterclass.
Capitalism, not socialism. Safety, not lawlessness. Mainstream, not extreme. Proud, not ashamed of America. 🇺🇸 PTA Founding Signer @Tom_Suozzi said it best at last night's debate.

The far left has the DSA. The far right has MAGA. Those of us who believe in solving problems with common sense and are fed up with the extremes have to speak up and get organized. Read my full op-ed: suozziforcongress.com/articl…

We have abandoned Ukraine in favor of Russia. Heartbreaking and sick stuff.

Whether you're a Reagan Republican or a FDR Democrat, we should all be embarrassed with what Donald Trump has done to Ukraine. The U.S. used to stand for something. We used to be the arsenal of democracy. Now, we're allying ourselves with thuggish dictators? For what?

Israel is an American ally. Not an enemy. And that aid that Sayed complains about? That actually is part of what we chose to provide to Israel and Egypt to get them to peace and usher in decades of American leadership in the Middle East. I guess he’s not really for peace either. Go figure.
Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed shared his views on U.S.-Israel relations, saying he does not consider Israel an American ally: “I think it’s time for us to realize that Israel is not actually our friend.” Watch the full conversation tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC News Live Prime’s “All Access with Linsey Davis” streaming on @disneyplus and @hulu.

My grandfather was an IBEW member who helped put lights on the Empire State Building. We have to get back to a place in America where hard work is rewarded with a decent life. That starts with rebuilding the middle class, better wages, and more union jobs. I’m proud to be endorsed by IBEW Local 3, Local 25 and Local 1049.

### Shimon Peres to Vladimir Putin: “I said to him: ‘You are 63 years old, and I am 93. Tell me, what do you want to achieve over the next 30 years? What are you fighting for? Are you hoping to irritate America?’ He replied: — No. — Does America want to take part of Russia? — No. — Do you have problems with Obama because of some misunderstanding? He asked: — Why are you asking me this? I said: — Listen, I am not a spy. You can talk to me about anything. He asked: — And what do you think? I replied: — America will win, no matter what you do. — Why? — he asked. — Because they are happy, and you are not. And I continued: When an American wakes up in the morning, what does he see? To the south, Mexico — and Mexicans are welcomed into his country. To the north, Canada, his best friend in the world. And to the east and west, fish swimming in the water. What does Obama have to worry about? And you? Who do you see around you when you wake up in the morning? Japan, China, Afghanistan? My God! They know you have an enormous territory, yet you give them nothing. You possess 20 percent of the world's freshwater reserves, but you share nothing with others. And when the snow in Siberia melts, the first people you will see there will be the Chinese. After all, there are many Chinese in the east and very few Russians. The second thing I told him was this: America has the best ratio of land area to population in the world. You have the worst. Twenty million square kilometers! My God! But you don't have enough people to develop that territory. Your people are dying. Do not be seduced by applause or by what people tell you. They will never forgive you for this. Why do Russians live, on average, only 62 years, while Americans live to 82? And then I told him: — You behave like a tsar. What did the tsars do? They built two cities — St. Petersburg and Moscow — as showcases. You can find anything you want there. But the rest of Russia is Nigeria covered in snow. Your people are dying. You are not giving them the opportunity to live with dignity. Do you really think they will forgive you? — Why is America great? — he asked. — Because America gives. And why does Europe have problems? Because Europe takes. America gives. People think Americans do this because they are generous. I believe they do it because they are wise. When you give, you make friends. The most valuable investment you can ever make is an investment in friendship. America had the courage to implement the Marshall Plan. It devoted an enormous share of its GDP to helping Europe, which was lying in ruins at the time. And by doing so, America proved that such assistance is one of the best investments in the world. There was not a single European country that had not been an empire. The French, the British, the Portuguese — they all had colonies. And what happened? They were driven out and left with nothing. Britain was the greatest empire, the empire on which the sun never set. It controlled all the oceans. But even the nonviolent resistance of the Indian people forced Britain to leave, reducing it to just three small islands that it now doesn't know what to do with. Believe me,’ I told Putin, ‘enemies and hostility are the greatest losses in life. You are investing in stupidity.’” — Attributed to Shimon Peres, former President of Israel, recounting a conversation with Vladimir Putin.

What happened is that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that she was going to argue that El-Sayed winning in Michigan would prove there is no leftist electability penalty. That prompted a lot of arguments about how she is wrong because she is wrong. Complain to her.
The people trying to cast El-Sayed as an electoral underperformer **2.5 weeks before we have any results** are really telling on themselves. They care more about getting a head start on litigating the 2028 intra-party factional battle than they do about defeating Republicans. And what’s more, pushing this now doesn’t even match reality — nothing in the race has meaningfully changed apart from AOC transferring $1 million to his campaign today. Fundraising — He raised $33M in Q3, more than any other Senate candidate apart from Talarico (and just a few thousand shy of Ossoff). Polling — He’s improved upon his polling lead over Rogers by 1.4 points since one month ago, per VoteHub polling average. Prediction Markets — These are fucking dumb, but even these don’t show more of these gamblers thinking Rogers will win. His odds were at 64-36 a month ago, and they are 68-32 today. Nothing has changed — if anything, things have gotten slightly better for El-Sayed recently. These people just want to hear themselves talk.

This is a joke, right?
Rep. Ayanna Pressley in MI just praised AOC for the $1 million — and ripped DSCC. “The DSCC should take note because it is shameful that we are not seeing an equitable investment in progressive and diverse candidates like Abdul El-Sayed, like Angie Nixon, like Scott Colom.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ayanna Pressley is incorrect. Not only has the DSCC supported the El-Sayed campaign with $16 million so far, the Senate Majority PAC of Sen. Schumer has spent an additional $10 million in support of El-Sayed axios.com/2026/09/16/abd…
