Super interesting article from @astrange @jamdac - a16z.com/vsaas-vertical-saas… I took their NAICS dataset a step further, to calculate what's left over in revenue for the "not top 50 firms" (called them "normals" lol maybe there's a better term), and it yields a clear prioritization of where to build loom.com/share/37f3fb8c8af34… I have long been fascinated by the "which verticals SHOULD you build in for vertical SaaS" question, and with this + a dataset of vertical SaaS/AI vendors by vertical (saturation) you could map a quadrant of where to go launch AI-native, easy-to-use SaaS now.

This is weak rationalism/materialism at its finest: let’s take an incredibly delicate process like ATP/Synthase, which suggests machines made by us reflect us, even more than we anticipated, and determine that the sum of a human roughly equates to tiny machine like parts of us.
the surprise conclusion of the machine consciousness debate will be that people are machines.

If you are not more than the sum of your parts: you have no distinct consciousness, no valuable conscience, no value, no love that is not social engineering, no drive that is not baked into your body. Elide over the hard problem of consciousness, and so many others.

@joshwhiton really needs to read Jastrow’s God and the Astronomers

About to land in Dallas for the first product launch ever executed by renting out a stadium dedicated to the launch. Def the only one where the goal wasn't to fill seats - just invite only. @JoeyGilkey has some wild ideas. Be the first: waitlist.titanx.io (request a code)

I think the @FCC would love to know someone is promoting a direct violation of TCPA. Prior express consent is required for any form of cold calling using robocall apparatus (i.e. AI). $1500 per fine. Gonna be a big bill for y'all @MonidHQ disclaimer: not a lawyer
Introducing GPT-6 Astra for cold calling. 50 leads called, objections handled, 9 meetings booked, confirmations texted, no-answers followed up by voicemail and SMS. One afternoon. Total: $18.60. RIP the $4,000/mo cold caller.

TCPA. Look it up. Prior express consent required. Adorable all these cute GTM folks who think this is a hack. You know what else is a hack? How easy it is to find home addresses of business contacts if you know the city they live in. You know what’s not ok? Stalking them.
PLEASE USE RESPONSIBLY - you can literally text almost any CEO, founder, or billionaire directly. most people have no idea. just text their personal email; try it with mine [email protected] lol this is how i met a few of my investors for my first co: 1. find their personal email, for most people it's tied to their Apple ID. a tool like RocketReach will usually surface it. 2. open iMessage, start a new message, and type that email into the "to" field. 3. if it turns blue, that email is linked to their iphone. now you can text them and it lands right on their phone. ur welcome!!

100% right. Obsession with async comms + stalking strangers online got confused w/ good outbound. It can work, yes, but it's all in service of a conversation anyway - why not take the critical path to conversation and pick up the phone? All revenue is downstream of conversation.
The GTM Engineer job blew up because of SDR call avoidance.

Ask manager to help - “I can’t, I’m managing things” - lol. Nice bud. 30 mins later. Finally seeing a rep. Call to support from store rep dropped. Twice.

Refund still uncertain. Saying now I can only get half back. $429.33 is the billing on this line since I’ve been locked out. Classy move. Couldn’t log in, couldn’t diagnose the bill.

Never gets old how often I ask an LLM "are you sure" or "keep going" and it completely rewrites its prior response

A tribute to Wendell Berry (Aug 5, 1934 - Aug 31, 2026): We will always wonder what hears us when we speak to no one. I know you here me Poet. Even asleep for a time one day you will wake and join me in that forest in that clearing in that marriage all mystery and majesty 1/

The body - in its departure from the hard problem of consciousness the hard problem of conscience the death of soul we know while living - in dying the body becomes home again to new life. 4/

Now you wait the final winter with its barren trees and the molecules here coil together so slowly as to escape detection for however many thousands of years until they sum back into you. Now we both - though you in a truth deeper than I have known - practice resurrection.

Moviepass has got to be the weirdest company ever. Incredibly fast first hype cycle followed by destruction. Then from the ashes it comes back... only to send me an email about whether I'm interested in Web3... because "we are a community driven company" ... no you're confused
