Here's a fun fact for anyone who sees #TeenTortureInc this week on @StreamOnMax. The main story I tell is excerpted from a book that I started writing on January 17, 1982. I wrote my outline in my sketchbook because up until this night I'd planned to be a cartoonist or photographer. I decided to become a professional writer on this night to tell my story & I've been working on this book ever since. It's been a monster job.

People always get offended when I make fun of Biden. That's my mother-in-law at the White House. She's a union leader/worker in Philly & the White House is always reaching out to her to help bring out the vote. I think Biden is a dope, but they should definitely draft Judy Bell to run the country. I also think it's healthy for Americans to have diverse ideas & political views. If we didn't, what else would there be to talk about?

Whenever I see victims of these programs speak out, I always think, "that's my brother or sister." I feel a bond with anyone who went through this. Then I saw Paris Hilton's testimony & I realized, "Oh, shit she's my sister, too?" But yes, it's a big, messed up family of us.

What if this whole attempt to prosecute Baldwin for this alleged rust shooting is actually a right wing conspiracy to sideline a major Trump impersonator during our election? In other words, what if Alec Baldwin is actually the liberal equivalent of a January 6 martyr and we don’t even realize it?

Based on this alone, if Dave finally decides to run for president this year, he gets my vote. He gets the job done. Coffee in hand.

Anyone who sees the documentary I'm in this week could reasonably conclude that I've probably done a lot of work on my mental health ever since those experiences I had… And it's true, but I'm still searching for a support group for Adult Children of Alcoholic Lawyers.

Part of the reason I slid from sharing my half-baked political views to talking about my parents, is that there's going to be this documentary released where I talk about my dysfunctional home. The challenge I had as the child in this home is that my parents were fascinating people to us kids & we were kind of in awe of them. I can't speak for my siblings, but the abuse I suffered was almost 100% caused by their inability to function properly in their role as parents & it wasn't deliberate. For me, I couldn't tell my story as a victim-narrative, because it's so clear to me how much my parents tried & failed and were suffering from things they didn't understand, like my mother's alcoholism.

The whole story is his corporation -- CEI - secretly backed a lawsuit in southern Ohio that changed the precedent in the state Supreme Court on how cities could handle their debts… I don't recall the details… But after they backed and won that case, my dad had a secret meeting with John Sherwin, I believe, who was on the board of the bank that held most city bonds, and quietly informed him that due to this little lawsuit that has just changed the law, his bank could recall all their loans to the city of Cleveland. They -- the business elites -- all hated Kucinich and put this into motion… that's how they got rid of Kucinich. I recorded my dad telling me the whole story in 2009, still with a hush, voice.

Now that I think of it, if you don't like my writing… It's probably just genetic... My friend @karltaro has the same problem, I think.

I love the fact that when my dad took his "job" as drama critique of the Kenyon College newspaper at age 17, he actually chose as his byline "Al "Drink Two Beers Act Like Shakespeare" Wright." I couldn't be prouder to call this man my father....

Meanwhile, my mother was like the local county AOC/Squad leader of the day. she built the first abortion clinic in our rural conservative county, then here she took over a massively funded county system in order to stop them from spending money on golf courses, and directed that they purchase all these nature preserves... She was also my best friend and took me everywhere as a child when she was trying to radicalize the county… I vividly recall this interview she gave… She actually was much better than my father at mesmerizing people with her bullshit… All the quotes of this she just made up… People thought she was like this deep thinker, but, she just made things up from thin air. She was kind of brilliant...
