I don’t know about you, but it makes my toes curl when I hear TV and radio presenters use endonyms for places that have perfectly good exonyms (example Kyiv rather than Kiev). Why don’t we just use endonyms for all countries/places? Wouldn’t that be polite? Nope. 1/n
