How would Trump act if his goal is to destroy the United States?
According to the Wall Street Journal, the US military has taken our Patriot Missile Defense System out of Texas and sent it to Israel in preparation for a new round of combat operations against Iran after the midterms.
At the same time, the Intercept reports that "top defense officials are expressing increasing worry about the vulnerability of U.S. bases around the world and even within the United States..."

There's no renaissance.
73 reactors are being built worldwide. 63 are by Chinese or Russian firms. Rosatom, Russia's state corporation, is building 28. So who is really behind the nuclear "renaissance"?
Why are One Nation or the LNP, supporting nuclear plants? Do they understand that Russia will be the builder? Once built, they'll have to buy enriched uranium to operate?

we do need to seriously reckon with the fact that Israel ultimately needs to be subject to an int'l military occupation. its a nuclear-armed Nazi society, and just like Nazi Germany its genocidal expansion is going to continue until forcibly stopped and disarmed

5 years ago, Texas summer time demands were much lower than they are now. But the costs were higher. Now, power demand has strongly grown, and power prices are down.
What changed?
Solar and batteries.
Texas' economic growth is the envy of many.
Renewables are fueling it.
The main people who want nuclear power are unable to build own or operate nuclear power. They're good at tweeting though
Just why would anyone want super expensive to build and maintain new nuclear energy generation?

Drew, there are currently 4346 utility wind turbines on Australia's NEM. Less than 5000 total across Australia.
By 2032, we might have 7000 turbines, not 31,000.
Only WA has turbines taller than 250m.
The direct land area impact for wind is very small.
