The impossible has happened: a cure for ageing is here, according to a recent article in @newscientist.
Like the fictional ReJuve in my speculative thriller The Cure, it's an injectable gene therapy.

What a glorious day with my good friend @AwaisKhanAuthor in Oxford.
From perfect blue skies to thundering downpours we took in lunch & @blackwelloxford before racing to the Oxford leg of @kslitfestlondon for some fascinating talks.
Can't wait for Awais's new book next spring!
Happy Publication Day to Emma Burnett for her novella Ex Partum, from @atthisarts.
It's a cracking dystopian read!

My scary face for a scary problem: author scamming.
Yup, even the creative world cannot avoid the dreaded #scam.
Radio 4's You and Yours covered this today, including my experience of fake podcast fees & book group requests.
Worth a listen to avoid falling prey to those scammers.
AND BOOK 5 IS SUBMITTED!!
I've finally emerged from my writing burrow where I've been chained to my laptop to make my deadline.
I can't wait to share details of my latest #speculative #thriller with you which will be out early next spring with @orendabooks.
Cosy crime it is not.
So The Cure has been longlisted for the British Science Fiction Association's Best Novel Award which was a lovely surprise.
Huge thanks to the BSFA members & congrats to all.
The shortlisting votes commence, good luck everyone!

Many will know I am a MAJOR fan of @MargaretAtwood, so seeing her at The Barbican last night was such a treat. Talking about her memoir #BookOfLives we were treated to tales about her life, loves & writing, ranging from murderous pheasants to dangerous theocracies. Brilliant.
Just ten days left to post your bid for a signed, dedicated copy of The Cure for @ChildrenInRead with all proceeds to @BBCCiN!
What better way to support this brilliant cause than with a terrifying read??
We're up to £30 and counting... @OrendaBooks

Thanks to everyone who came to my talk on Friday @wantagelitfest superbly chaired by @NicolaCornick.
An apt discussion for Halloween given the terrifying events in The Cure!
Thanks also to the festival team for making me so welcome & to @WantageBookshop for supplying the books.
Had such a lovely time interviewing Simon Mason last night at Carterton Library.
We discussed his excellent thrillers The Woman Who Laughed and A Voice In The Night.
Great turn out, good banter and questions with the audience, and wonderful for me to finally meet Simon.
To all #oxfordshire readers, I will be @wantagelitfest on Halloween (very apt) at 2.00pm at The Beacon.
I'll be discussing my speculative thriller The Cure, and the real life issues around ageing and longevity that inspired it. Tickets can be booked here:
