I’m actually very appreciative of this video and the light shined on this subject.
I made a video about this a year ago and got slandered and it left a image on me where people no longer wanted to work with me & all my clients gave me up because I was being honest about the industry & being taken advantage of.
As I said, not all clients were like this BUT to many not only did me but countless others dirty. You rely on gritty, heavy workload & unrealistic turn overs with low pay, no percentage / bonus and let alone that job security alone but want priority. I always said if I make it as a creator my editor will be taken care of. Editors are a MASSIVE part of your team. Without them content is nothing imo. U need them.
I just want to say thank you to @LudwigAhgren for showing appreciation for editors earlier today during his conversation with Yusuf about how he "sold the bag" while severely underpaying his editor.
As an editor myself, it was genuinely refreshing to hear someone with such a large platform acknowledge the value that editors bring.
I'm incredibly grateful to have worked with so many creators and organizations that NOT only value my work, but everyone behind the scenes.
