SO COOL!! Not long ago I wrote a blog, “We Owe It to Our Teachers.” One pt. was, “We must capture them and provide support for them from the moment the HR department turns them loose.” Check out FB “Nimitz Mid Sch-NEISD” to see this how a princip. owns that suggestion. How cool!

I don’t know how this got on here but I did NOT endorse this.
This was such a surprise and I was so honored. Every person who spoke touched my life so much more than I could give to to him or her! Thank you.

WE OWE IT TO OUR TEACHERS!
While teach’s work hard to close the year, others’ thoughts are fixed on the new year. New teachers will soon leave their colleges pumped to begin their careers. Are we ready to help them succeed? One man’s thoughts @:

Most of us know about Gen. Patton’s 3 divisions making a 90 deg turn in snow and battle to help win the Battle of the Bulge. I’m so proud of how our teachers stopped dead in their tracks; with little warning, and valiantly tried to retool and bring lessons to kids in a new way.
I’ve had a lot of different job titles during my career in education. However, the one I prefer and the one that gives me the greatest source of pride by far is:
“TEACHER.”

HOW DO WE BRING HONOR TO OUR PROFESSION? It’s always enjoyable to sit and talk to new students. Likewise, talking to new teachers and seeing them begin their careers is fun and exciting. It’s also a great time to bring a sobering topic of conversation.

A valiant effort so far by Intern and Mac Asst Prin Andrew Clarett who accepted the challenge to research how many eductrs have tested + for covid. So far no luck from CDC or Metro Hlth, but for some of us it is important. Classify them by gender AND prof. They track some.

TIME TO COME CLEAN!
After 5 decades the end is in sight; could not have been better. One can’t help but have opinions, and dos and don’ts to follow. Mine have been disguised in kurtwordsmith47.wixsite.com/… Join me; argue with me; contribute and invite others if it’s at all useful.

It’s that time of year. Rumors are taking flight about opportunities, retirements, ant transfers. Interviews are being planned and theories abound about the perfect interview. Read one man’s opinion about how to kill it at: kurtwordsmith47.wixsite.com/…

If it’s any consolation, mom, it only gets worse. But we gotta love ‘em.

Enjoyed the book tremendously. Wish I could hear the talk but I guess after 50 years it’s time to step down but never stop learning. Not enough charachters but had a remarkable experience when I picked up your book to begin.
