It is with great pleasure that we announce the next stage of Delphica Society experiences: The Great American Weekender. It is not a conference with a party attached. It is three rooms under one sky. Delphica hosts. @exit_org roots it in Utah. @im_1776 and @frontier_mag_ give it ideas and a printed afterlife. Mid-November in Salt Lake City: late fall, dark skies, the Wasatch still close enough to an airport that you can leave the coastal circuit and arrive in the interior by evening. Friday, November 13: The Closed Table. A seated dinner for friends and special guests. Long table, low light, American winter cooking, toasts and conversation. No panels. By midnight the people who define the weekend already know each other. Saturday, November 14: The American Night. Our Delphica signature after dark: cocktails, a living room of art and books, a band, then a dance floor. The room should look like a painting by ten. Partner names live on the program and the napkins, nowhere else. Sunday, November 15: The Mountain Morning. A resort brunch looking at the range. Bloody Marys, good coffee, one toast, and the last long table before the airport. Friday is the memory you don’t post. Sunday is the photograph you keep. See you in November?
