Honestly, I never considered Pattinson for Bond because of his age. But if he's screen-tested and the producers are willing to overlook that, he's 100% the guy for the job. None of the other rumored contenders come close to matching his talent.

Yeah if he’s in the mix, it’s gotta be him.
He’s literally in the Top 3 actors of his generation, if not #1.
Callum Turner might be more Handsome™️ in some soy-ish, GQ magazine cover sense, but, needless to say, Pattinson has an edge to him (and just way more talent in general) that will allow Villeneuve to do wayyyy more interesting things with the character (e.g. more punk rock type shit).
It’s actually crazy to think about how dangerous/electric/interesting a Pattinson Bond could be, after years of relatively static ones.
I’m convinced now that the whole “three known actors are in the running, plus a 4th one who is still unnamed” was just a “just the tip” type marketing stunt—lubing us all up and getting us talking about Bond, before dropping the real bomb (Pattinson) on us.
