ALT This is a rather good mixed use Glasgow Baroque tenement of 1910-12 at 271-285 Dumbarton Road in Glasgow. With its ground floor shops and red sandstone upper storeys, the tenement is by accomplished architects Campbell Douglas and Alexander Nisbet Paterson. The combination of a strong cornice line with soaring chimney stacks, especially the canted one to the west, breaking through it, is superb.
