I made this short Aqua in highschool. Even though technically it's quite rough, the concept of a cat facing its fear of water really resonated with me. So much so that I decided to expand it into a feature which became Flow. My filmmaking approach has changed a lot since then. Aqua was made with a lot of quick editting and long lenses. Flow instead features many long, wider and more delibarete shots. I've been thinking about the story of this cat for most of my life.

Flow was made entirely with Blender and rendered in real time with EEVEE. We didn't use a renderfarm. The final render was done on my PC. There was no compositing, all the colors were tweaked and adjusted using shaders.

2024 was actually a pretty spectacular year for animation. An absolute boat load of money was made across multiple successful movies and shows. Who didn't have a great year? The entire labor force making those movies and shows.
