It's #InternationalPodcastDay !
... Which is a terrible time to announce the END of Fanthropological 😲
How do you wrap up almost four years of a fandom podcast? A three-part series with the 1st coming out Friday.
Fanthropological wraps up this Friday after more than 150 episodes... but we're not done making podcasts (or other stuff, for that matter)!
If you liked Fanthropological, give @thenickscast a follow for whatever new projects we get up to
...And finally a reflective episode on the podcast, what we learned about fandom and researching fandoms and podcasting.
And that'll be it for us. We were already planning on rolling back into @TheNickscast as far as social media goes so it sort of works out 🤷♂️
Moving to an online-first fandom experience is hard, and it's going to take some adjusting until the world heals. We wax poetic about the way things were, and the new world of fandom
Things are the same... but also totally different? 🤷♂️

In case you missed yesterday's April Fool's episode on Philatelists, here's a sneak peak! It was a lot of fun to try something different, and parody science TV classics like Beakman's World and Bill Nye the Science Guy!

WHAT'S UP KIDS! It's that time of the week to tune in to your pals Nick Frye (the Fandom Guy), Shakespeare, and Pointdexter! 📺
Your dose (with hosts with the most) of fandom facts and forthwith we're fact-finding on fans of philately!

We decide to dig deep on the latest episode and ask... Is fandom a necessary part of our identities? 🤔
(For us yes, for you... maybe?) 🤷♂️

Who needs canon, anyway? The episode where the rules are made up and the points don't matter! 🤣
(Um, actually, we're talking about why fans argue about canon and what canon means 🤓)

Lotta fans making a lot of arguments in favour of protecting canon, but do we even need it??

After a drought of no #ttrpgs (in our group), we're excited to talk about what makes for a great experience
(Hint: It's not🎲or 💪)

It's 2020, and as "old" fans (i.e. 30-somethings💦), we ask ourselves... Are you too old for this? 😏
fanthropological.com/tooold
What does that even mean?? 😵⁉️
Do you think you can be too old for fandom?
Let the new season begin! 🎊
January dragged on forever, so we're keeping it light and asking the question: "Is it ok to be a fan of bad things?" ⁉️
fanthropological.com/badmedi…
What do you think? 🤔
(What does that even mean??) 🤷♂️
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! We've got new episodes and a new schedule for the new year! 🍾
New episodes will start January 31 and every two weeks afterwards ALL YEAR ROUND 🥳
It's the end of the decade, the end of Phase 3, and the end of this season of Fanthropological! And this time, we try to tackle one of the biggest fandoms out there... the #MCU
It's time to put everything in perfect balance 🙄

🎼Here we are in the future 🎵 ... and finally talking about #StevenUniverse!
Why are three grown men talking about a children's cartoon?
...Because anyone can appreciate media, and because it's a great show with good lessons and music for any age!

What is the #Furry fandom? Is it as dark and strange as most people seem to think? And what's up with those fursuits?
Join us as we chat with author and artist Sarah WaterRaven to discuss the community and her experiences in it. #newpodcast
