we gotta lockin to write our first paper xitter.cf/farilyaz/status/211225…
really interesting in knowing when LLMs "learn" instead of memorization especially in micro LLMs especially at which point. i am also looking at multistep reasoning and inventive capacity (ability to merge concepts to create new concepts). writing a paper on it, wish me luck.

why are we so convinced "superintelligence" will turn against us? it's trained on our books, our history, our philosophy, our morality. almost everything it knows comes from the collective human experience. instead of seeing humanity as an obstacle, it will see itself as one of us
"If AIs think humans are cute, they'll care for us" We think pigs are cute, but we imprison them for their miserable lives, then we slaughter them The last time a superintelligent species arrived - humans - 96% (!) of mammals quickly became humans, or enslaved by humans Yet people are so confident that the next superintelligent species (AIs) will create utopia for the hominids, happy slaves forever serving our whims

an essential discovery especially advancing out understanding of human consciousness. our mind flickers between conscious and unconscious state 15 times a second 🤯 i wonder what the ramifications of this is in terms of getting closer to making a conscious artificial being

bitmaps are so cool
making 3d animations has become scarily easy with LLMs (took me just one prompt to make this loop 😬)
