Ko smo se odločali za vstop v EU, si ni nihče predstavljal, da bo v kaki njeni članici in uniji nasploh mogoče brez posledic:
1. Razveljaviti predsedniške volitve (Romunija);
2. Ukiniti informativni program na nacionalni RTV (Madžarska);
3. Poslati policijo na Ustavno sodišče (Poljska);
4. Tri tedne pred volitvami poslati v zapor predsednika stranke, ki vodi v anketah (Slovenija);
5. Zasesti nacionalno RTV s policijo in zamenjati vodstvo (Poljska);
6. Prekiniti mandate vodstvu nacionalne RTV in izvesti čistko zaposlenih (Slovenija);
7. Poslati v zapor člane prejšnje vlade brez možnosti obrambe (Madžarska);
8. Podeliti skoraj milijon državljanstev ilegalnim migrantom po hitrem postopku (Španija);
9. Zapreti novo Nuklearno elektrarno in zgraditi plinovod do Rusije (Nemčija);
10. Obdavčiti ogljične energetske vire ob hkratnem zapiranju NE ter preseliti industrijo v države z nizkimi ekološkimi standardi pod pretvezo, da tako rešujemo planet.
Nastala je EU, ki se mora reševati sama pred sabo.

🇦🇷 The hate against Messi came out of nowhere, and it has nothing to do with football.
Here's what's actually going on...
Messi lifted the World Cup in December 2022 and the entire planet lost its mind celebrating.
Three and a half years later, a chunk of the internet suddenly decided he's a villain.
Nothing on the pitch changed. Same guy, same career, twenty years of footage anyone can check in under a minute.
What changed is the feed. Villain edits started outperforming legend edits and the algorithm noticed.
A 2018 MIT study tracked 126,000 claims across 3 million X users. False stories spread six times faster than true ones and got retweeted 70% more often. Outrage simply beats accuracy at getting attention.
None of this needs a single big lie either. Illusory truth effect: see a claim enough times and it starts feeling true even when you know it's false, and the effect survives fact checks.
Football is basically the most documented thing on earth. Every match, every angle, every ref decision, all archived. The narrative still won anyway.
If the algorithm can flip public opinion on the most watched athlete alive, it can flip it on anyone with no footage to fall back on.

🇪🇺 The EU just passed Chat Control 1.0 in Brussels.
Platforms can now scan your private messages again, officially "voluntary," in practice blanket surveillance.
Here's the democratic scandal: 314 MEPs voted against it. Only 276 voted for it.
It passed anyway... because an absolute majority of all MEPs was required to reject it, not just a majority of those present.
More people voted no than yes. It still passed.
Pushed through on an urgent procedure just before summer recess, when absences are highest and attention is lowest.
This is how rights disappear folks. Not in one dramatic moment, but in procedural fine print, on a slow news day, while everyone's looking at Tehran.

Donald Trump speaking directly with Vladimir Putin and with Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a great step toward ending the war in Ukraine.
I pray for peace and for successful negotiations between these leaders, hopefully soon 🕊
As I said, I will be traveling to Russia and back to Ukraine to do all I can to give a public forum for these leaders & others to give their perspective, in long-form, with empathy but also with rigor & challenging questions.
We need more conversations, not less.
I think the goal for us humans, in order to avoid a global war and to survive long-term, should be to increase the amount of understanding and compassion in the world, and constantly seek paths to peace when wars break out.
I try to play a very small part in that in the best way I know how ❤
