Not many people know this, but we were in the running to direct Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. We were beat out by John Lee of PFFR. But we did get to have a 3 hr video call with Paul Reubens.
Paul Rust, who co-wrote the film, suggested us, and honestly, we’re forever grateful to him for the opportunity. That we even got to meet Mr. Reubens and talk to him is something we’ll never forget.
