My biggest problem with @PlayApex atm personally is Matchmaking and the Solo Experience. Matchmaking at the highest level is way too casual and matchmaking at the casual level (pubs, mixtape,ltm) is way too sweaty. When I queue up in Pred lobbies the queue is almost instant everytime and at most there are 2-3 master/pred squads in the lobby and the rest of the 50 players are between plat and diamond. This is incredibly easy to tell with the new system that shows you all the ranks in the lobby. And in my opinion this is really bad since at the highest level you are supposed to fight the best of the best, in Apex ranked that just doesn't happen. I can play for 8 hours with my team while another pro team is also grinding for 8 hours and we'll run into eachother a couple times at most during that time. Which is honestly kind of unacceptable matchmaking. The fact that there can be multiple pred/pro teams at the highest level queueing at the same time and never finding eachother because of matchmaking is really really bad and not competitive whatsoever. Sure queues are fast but they shouldn't be at that level, if you want fast queues and casual lobbies that's where pubs are supposed to come into play. However it's the opposite, in my pred ranked games there are 9-12 master and pred players per game. In my pub games it's about the same if not more. So my pub games have the same players as ranked just no ranked points in play. Which doesn't really separate the game modes now does it. I suggest making queues at the highest level a minimum of 5-10 min so that you actually get the opportunity to group the best of the best together in a lobby or set some sort of limit / requirement to make the lobbies better. And make casual game modes much more relaxed so that you actually feel like you are playing something different. Or just add Sandbox to Apex (r5reloaded) and you'll have infinite content at a casual level without having to even think about matchmaking. However on top of that Solo players have nowhere to go, if you don't have a full squad to play with everyday Apex is unbearable always has been. But now people are finally starting to give up because of it and I don't blame them. I personally think if we add Solo Queue Ranked to @PlayApex that so many more players will come back to the game and it will give players something to do while waiting for their squad to get online. Finally catering to the people that don't have someone to play with every single day. And if there's not enough players for that to happen just combine Console with PC for Solo queue specifically. You could even balance it where you are forced to have 1-2 console or pc players per team. But Solo Queue ranked needs to happen soon imo otherwise we are losing so many players that have nowhere to go due to not having anyone to play with because people are getting tired and quitting.
