highest roi thing ive done as a student is creating my own opportunities aka opportunitymaxxing in high school i wanted to travel so bad so kept searching for conferences but never qualified so i randomly applied to this tedx talk that was only open to uk students i am not from the uk got accepted, we figured out the funding and did my first live tedx talk in the uk at 16. stayed super close w the org team and pitched being an emcee speaker in my final year of high school they said yes and boom 16 year old me went for it and it turned into 2 trips to the uk if it feels scary think abt it like this: worst case they say no which is exactly where u already are if u dont apply highly recommend: - apply even if the rules say ur not eligible. let them tell u no - once ur in, stay close w the ppl - pitching never stops. bring ur wildest craziest ideas first yes is always ALWAYS the hardest. it gets way easier once u have momentum
