So much incredible art has come out of this new revolution in Iran, but this artistic representation of the lyrics of Shervin Hajipour's song "Baraye" brought me to tears.
Thank you @Shabidesign for your work.

On the day the head of IRGC threatened the protesters & said, “it's the last day, don't come to the streets,” 100s of students at Amirkabir University in Tehran gathered & chanted: “all these years of crime, death to your rule.” #MahsaAmini #مهسا_امینی

A two minutes review of 4 decades of terror, repression, violence, executions, arrests, and people’s defiance and resistance. A two minutes video that explains why Iranians want the Islamic Republic to go. It’s heart-wrenching but telling. #MahsaAmini #مهسا_امینی #IranProtests

Historic: In the final round of the Asian Mountaineering Championship, Elnaz Rekabi, from Iran, participated without wearing a hijab. It’s mandatory to wear the hijab for female athletes. She did it regardless of the costs. Daring. #MahsaAmini #مهسا_امینی

How about one from South Korea?
No?
Surely variants from New Zealand & Vietnam?

Some professional news… I spent the last few months working on the Biden-Harris Transition Team. It was an incredible and humbling experience helping to prepare an administration inheriting many dire crises. A thread.

Thank you! I would be nowhere without the women whose footsteps I dance in. While reciting my poem, I wore a ring with a caged bird—a gift from @Oprah for the occasion , to symbolize Maya Angelou, a previous inaugural poet. Here’s to the women who have climbed my hills before.
I have never been prouder to see another young woman rise! Brava Brava, @TheAmandaGorman! Maya Angelou is cheering—and so am I.

On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."
