Dude clearly unaware of the history of the 1970 Black September conflict in Jordan. That incident is one negative aspect of the Palestinian refugee crisis, and I prefer not to discuss it further at this time because it deeply hypocritical to weaponize the Palestinian struggle just to demonize Rohingya refugees. The false narrative claiming that 'Palestinians never leave their homeland, but the Rohingya are cowards that simply ran away' completely ignores historical reality. The truth is, escaping persecution is a universal human response, and millions of Palestinians fled to survive and created a massive diaspora. Look at El Salvador. There are thousands of descendants of them who have thrived and even taken official government office. The current President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, is a direct product of this diaspora. His paternal grandparents were Palestinian Christians who emigrated from Jerusalem and Bethlehem in 1921 to seek safety and a better life. And there is also Francisco Alabi, the current Minister of Health, who is half Palestinian and half Italian. Schafik Hándal, former Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador who was in office from 1997-2006 until his death. Posthumously, he was declared "Meritorious Son of the City of San Salvador" by the Mayor of San Salvador. Then there are many more since the Palestinian community in El Salvador is actually the second largest in Central America after the Arab community in Honduras that is largely made of Palestinian refugees. Fleeing systemic genocide, whether you are a Palestinian escaping oppression or a stateless Rohingya escaping a brutal military junta in Myanmar is 100% not an act of cowardice. It is the basic human instinct to survive. By using an inaccurate version of history to invalidate the suffering of the Rohingya is not only factually wrong, but it also lacks basic human empathy and as a Malaysian Malay I am apalled with the attitude.
