We have a telescope!🤩
Last week, summit staff successfully installed Rubin Observatory's combined primary/tertiary mirror.
With all three mirrors & the commissioning camera in place, we officially—for the first time in 15 years of construction—have a complete telescope!🥳

Found tied up and abandoned, Leonardo 191639 is a young discarded stray who's just 12 months old. So fearful in NYCACC, he's pancaking, thrashing and panics when being placed back in his kennel. Outside he's a soft, friendly and affectionate puppy who's of course in need of some manners training but otherwise a wonderful puppy in search of love. TBK Thursday, he's adoptable from any location and looking for a family with kids age 13+ to save his life. Please repost pledge, let's give him his deserved second chance! newhope.shelterbuddy.com/Ani…

Please help us save their lives - repost/share, if you can help please email [email protected] or DM @notthesameone2. Thank you.

Her family called the police to have her taken away, Surprise 185190 arrived trembling, fearful and overwhelmed on Oct 27. Fast forward to now and we know she’s a sweetheart who’s timid, is great with other dogs and is eager to please. Age 8 and NYCACC has declined to assess her based on her family’s accusations. Now TBK Thursday and we need to help her. She’s looking for a Northeast family with kids, age 13+. Please pledge RT Surprise!

JUST SAY IT
If #DeSantis whitewashed the lynching of Italians in the 1900s, you wouldn’t call it “conservative.”
If he sugarcoated the #Holocaust , you wouldn’t call it “controversial.”
What he’s doing to Black people is neither controversial nor conservative, it is RACIST.

I SUPREMELY take pride in introducing myself as an "afro-latino theoretical astrophysicist AND HBCU graduate". it would be an extreme disservice to the next generation looking up at me if I had the same mentality as NdT. #REPRESENTATIONMATTERS #BlackTwitter

Providing demographic data for NSF: Actually, I do wish to provide my gender, but your survey does not include nonbinary scientists. You are not accurately assessing diversity when you erase queer and transgender scientists. @ISNBS_ #QueerinSTEM

Tiffany, Lobo and Slim are three dogs that so many people rallied to save from the euthanasia list , but now they are without a foster. They are not benefitting from being kept in a boarding facility and we don’t have the funds to keep them there! These pups deserve to cuddle up with someone who loves them and will give them the TLC they need! please consider fostering at lendapawinc.com/foster
