This morning, I had to teach a 23yo boy about the vulva, vagina, and labia. He was in orientation for a caregiving job and I was preparing him for the "female peri care" video. When I was explaining what the perineal area was, he said, "I apologize for my language here, but, like, the... 𝒗𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂???" and he whispered it like it was a bad word. I said, "Uh, well... the whole area there is called the vulva. So when you're talking about it, you can just say vulva." He mouthed it like a toddler
