⁦@BirminghamParks⁩ Monday this field & slope had loads of daisies & dandelions, early pollinators. Now all cut. Not a #NoMowMay policy in Brum? Why not? These aren’t sports pitches. BTW crocuses we planted last autumn were also cut when still flowering few weeks ago.
⁦@WMCycleHire⁩ here’s the pic of the bike, with number & some litter in the background (was plenty more). BTW Birmingham Parks Byelaws prohibit riding any bike in parks except on designated cycle paths, and the field certainly is not that. What penalty can be issued?

⁦1/2. ⁦@WMCycleHire⁩ Bike left at this location last night, on a field in a park, amongst much litter and debris from a boozy gathering. Will send pics of the bike goo.gl/maps/GzdBZtqTemiJsBfh…

These pellets were on a tree stump in Holders Woods this morning, internet search they look similar both to rat poison and bird food, don’t know which they are, but my dog found them first. Anyway at vets now, as it’s within 3 hrs she’s being made to vomit. Watch out for them.
Horses on Holders at the weekend left some deep hoof prints, bit of a trip hazard, so we’re going to try filling them in on Saturday morning at 10.00 on the cricket pitch (or maybe by containers in the car park collecting soil). Do join us if you can, the more the merrier!
Some have commented about the horses in the fields over the weekend - quite a lot of damage to grass, inc. to the cricket pitch. Someone took pics of the horse box, with company name and reg number - it has been passed to @BirminghamParks. Well done our fields community!

Excellent, as always, really hits the nail in the head.
The crocuses we planted by the cycle path by Pebble Mill Fields are coming through - small, but it’s only year one. ⁦@BirminghamParks⁩ could park vehicles avoid them please, they’re not right by the cycle path, and grass shouldn’t need cutting there for a bit.

Well done, it’s looking lovelier than ever.
We've had over 50 people working down at #PebbleMillPlayingFields #ForestGarden #SellyParkSouth this weekend. Well done everybody...great work!

Once again Barbados PM Mia Mottley has been the one who has delivered the speech the world needed. May she be heard, may we rise. Take 8 minutes to listen to the whole thing. Share the lines that grabbed you most. #COP26

We’re bulb planting tomorrow by the cycle path by Pebble Mill Fields (aka the bottom field), meet by noticeboard near Kitchener Rd at 10.30 am. Children with a familiar adult welcome. Bring garden gloves if poss, if not, no problem, we’ll find you a job! There’ll be flapjacks!

Nice story, yesterday pm met a group of 15/20 young people celebrating one’s 17th birthday in the woods, big picnic. This morning no litter, am sure it hadn’t been picked up this morning. They’re probably not reading this, but thanks to them, and let’s celebrate good deeds

A small band of happy volunteers joined our Ranger, Jan, bulb planting today, so the cycle path will have a floral edge in the Spring. 2nd session in half term, Thurs. 28 October, 10.30 am by the cycle path near the notice board by Kitchener Rd. Children welcome, adults too!

Told this morning that a young dog’s recently died from cuts to his throat after eating something on the fields - don’t know what but chicken bones probable. We want people to enjoy the fields, but please be vigilant and not leave litter including the remnants of picnics.
Massive thanks to @NatAsianCC and @comheartbeat for providing the club with a potentially life-saving mobile defibrillator for our 3rds and 4ths playing at Holders Lane.❤️🙌

Just giving people the heads up that after a very long time Park Run is resuming in Cannon Hill tomorrow (Sat. 24 July). It will mainly be in the main part of the park, starting from the bandstand and I presume turning round just beyond Second Ave bridge. We wish them well.
It’s looking lovely and will be even better when the plants gave established. Thank you @fruitnutvillage and all who worked on #PebbleMillPlayingFields, making it an even better place to play! Sorry my own contribution was limited, hope to do more another time.
Planting out the #Naturehood #Edibleflower #Pollinatorgarden at #PebbleMillPlayingFields #ForestGarden with @fruitnutvillage, @SPS_Forum and @fieldfriends today. Thank you for the support everyone...especially for the cakes and biscuits!
