Different AI bot developers have been asking me to try their new tools or battle their bots and I wanna make it clear I have zero interest. I have no desire to help in the development of these tools and I think they take away from what makes Pokémon enjoyable

A great step was taken and enforcement is only going to improve with time. I’ve been outspoken about the dangers AI bots will pose upon our game and I mean all of that, but I have a ton of trust and faith in the devs/staff working on it.
I see so many kneejerk responses “oh nobody will be compliant” “oh this won’t do anything” “oh this doesn’t solve the problem” etc. folks and like without being on the inside and without giving it time, you just don’t know.

To be clear: I still wish these bots didn’t exist, disagree with the logic creators are using to justify making/unleashing them, and wish the trajectory was different/less alarming!
But this is a great step and we should celebrate PS devs doing their best when facing adversity.
I just wish the bot creators (excluding Jax, who has been pleasant and communicative) who do not care for the community and just view this as testing grounds would see this and slow down/stop altogether. Sadly doesn’t seem that will happen, but one can wish.
