A breathtaking divine sight from Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri, at 4:00 AM, as the luminous Moon rests behind the sacred Neel Chakra. In the peaceful stillness of the early morning, this celestial sight feels like a moment of divine grace, filling the heart with devotion, serenity, and wonder. A beautiful reminder of the eternal spiritual aura of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.

Arunachal is a frontier state. It was one of the first ones in the region to cooperate with the Indian state after independence with minimal conflict. They're even more patriotic than most Indian states. Not that I really care about measuring patriotism nor demand it, but just saying for some people out there. Ideological separatists from other states are already working hard to turn Arunachali youngsters away from the 'Indic fold'. Then you lot go ahead & insinuate them abuse them, they'll land sweetly in the hands of separatist minds in the upcoming generation. The younger generation might not pick up guns like their forefathers, but a state which was very cordial might end up ideologically resentful. Think before you get triggered/baited/agitated on the internet!
Accounts like these don't even understand the repercussions they might bring on ground. There are tons of hardworking people on both sides who worked for decades to try and foster this peace. There's a way to maturely debate this if you don't like it. There are people on ground who will discuss this in future events if things are volatile now. You slinging slurs and threats is only going to draw away Arunachalis who have been overwhelmingly supportive towards this nation - probably more than most Indian states. Think before you type nonsense bordering on gnocide.

India is doing sensible AI related investments -- across the value chain - in models, usage, hosting, sovereign data centers Like in so many industries, incumbents with deep pockets are sitting it out. Newer, nimbler, deeply knowledgeable players are emerging key drivers

I redid this chart, splitting the fake "South Asia" into Pakistan and India, to give Pakistan its "rightful place" in the chart.

Ather is actually a very interesting story, and I think this tweet misses a big part of it. Look at who funded Ather. Sachin Bansal invested ~$53M, starting as an angel and then leading its Series C and Series D. Imagine an Indian founder personally putting that much money behind a hardware startup leading growth rounds. Then there's Hero MotoCorp. A traditional Indian two-wheeler company backed a startup that could eventually compete with its own business. Hero started investing in 2016 and kept doubling down. Today, its stake is worth billions of dollars. Between Sachin and Hero, nearly 50% (~$250Mn) of Ather's capital came from two backers you would hardly expect to make such investment. Think about how unusual that is. Neither was a traditional VC fund, yet both played a huge role in getting Ather to where it is today. And it's not just Ather. Mukesh Bansal invested ~$1.5M in Skyroot Aerospace very early. That bet is now reportedly worth ~$80M, including partial exits. Nearly 60x. I think we should spend more time celebrating people who are actually making these contrarian investments rather than criticizing those who aren't. The former encourages more people to take risks. The latter doesn't really help anyone.
Why are Indian VCs so afraid to take risk and make money? Someone should go to India and take risk and make money. Our story - corememory.com/p/a-new-india…

⚡️BREAKING Iran's Security Chief on his Meeting with Senior Officials from Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia: "As a result of the Iranian nation’s resistance and the strength of its Armed Forces, a new and positive atmosphere has emerged within the region—as reflected in the dialogues held with senior officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia Senior officials from Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia expressed the view that the solution to the region’s challenges lies in cooperation among all four nations We reached the conclusion that security in West Asia must be internally generated, and that any form of foreign interference must be prevented"

The computer science collaboration will understand and explain a result concerning the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH), a longstanding conjecture about the computational complexity of Boolean formula satisfiability, a problem deeply related to the P vs. NP problem. Surprisingly, our system has recently proved that the ETH is false, a result that was subsequently verified in Lean. The refutation of the ETH reopens questions about how much faster these tasks could become, and may help guide the search for better algorithms. Finding such algorithms, and turning theoretical advances into practical improvements, will require significant further research. Our system found its natural language disproof for the ETH we reached out to to @rrwilliams. Ryan will form a collaboration with Russell Impagliazzo and Ramamohan Paturi to verify and shepherd this result. Impagliazzo and Paturi, along with Francis Zane, are the original proposers of the Exponential Time Hypothesis, and Williams has refuted strong versions of the ETH, used ETH for hardness results, and connected algorithms and lower bounds. This group asked us to make all raw data of the results public to facilitate independent verification by the community, which we have done by posting the natural language proof and Lean formalization to our GitHub repo. The group also invites the community to help organize an open examination of the ETH claim and to discuss the broader questions that AI-generated breakthroughs raise about verification, access, credit, and the future of research. github.com/openai/math/blob/…

A divine sight from Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri, where the radiant full moon shines behind the sacred Neel Chakra on the auspicious night of Sharad Purnima. According to devotional belief, Chandra Dev (the Moon God) appears to seek the blessings of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath on this sacred night. A truly beautiful glimpse of India’s timeless spiritual traditions and unwavering devotion.

In hindsight AI inference market resembles electricity utility markets too early in evolution. Long term PPAs at close to sovereign return IRRs (even to newbie labs!) But, demand >> supply. So IPPs (spot seller neoclouds) making hay as sun shines. Oracle looking at Elon with envy wondering how to renegotiate terms

The $10-$15 trillion total addressable market for AI, if it is successful, is actually "terrifying". - The famous "Dean of Valuation", Professor Aswath Damodaran, of NYU Stern School of Business. The reason: AI as a tool is a much smaller market; AI as a replacement for human-jobs is where the giant market story comes from. "The best-case scenario for AI, that $10 to $15 trillion market, will happen if ONLY it replaces people. If AI is a tool, it’s going to be a much smaller market than if AI replaces people. So, the stories we’re telling about $10, $20 or $25 trillion markets are actually terrifying stories for the rest of the world. Why? Because if that story comes true, half of all white-collar people are going to lose their jobs. And what are they going to do instead? Who’s going to come up with the income to buy the products and services? If AI works as well as it’s supposed to and replaces people, how do we deal with that as a society? Because people lose their jobs. Not only do you lose your income, you lose your life’s meaning.." ---- Full video on "Excess Returns" podcast Youtube channel (link in comment)
