Voros is back out of the classroom for now, but we need to keep fighting for survivors and get him fired for good. Now is the time to speak up and show @UofSC that keeping abusers employed is unacceptable. Join us Thursday to show them that this isn't enough.

This just in: not only is Voros coming back to teach in the spring, but he will also be receiving a 13% raise, coming out to more than $10,000 more than his 2021 salary. @UofSC is showering this abuser with rewards, and it's despicable.

@UofSC gave abuser David Voros a paid vacation for a whole year, and now they're inviting him back to teach ARTS 210, 710, and 810 with open arms. Spread the news, and tell USC that we won't accept this. We demand that they #FireAllAbusers, not put yet more people at risk.
The latest survey is out from the presidential search committee, and not surprisingly, the #2 priority for the Gamecock community is finding a president who will #FireAllAbusers and make sure this campus is safe. The university had better keep that in mind when they choose.
The report from @UofSC is a great start to addressing the issues we have raised, but unless the university follows up with the major policy reforms which we have been demanding, this report will sadly amount to little more than a nice-sounding statement.

Even after all we've done to expose the sexual abuse epidemic at @UofSC, the university continues to show that their loyalty lies with predators. USC rewards them with cushy jobs and paid vacations. Instead, let's make them #FireAllAbusers.

On Wednesday at noon, @UCW_SC is going to be demonstrating at Osborne to demand health insurance for graduate student workers. We stand with any and all efforts to make USC a place where we can be safe and healthy, so we encourage everyone to be there and show your support!
The institutional enabling of sexual abuse has never been unique to @UofSC, and as we speak similar events are playing out at @winthropu, where amazing students are fighting to hold abusers accountable and take the admin to task for enabling them.

Students in the Maxcy-Thornwell living learning community painted a mural in the last of four stairwells in support of survivors. Their strength, courage, and creativity is inspiring. We'll do everything we can to #FireAllAbusers, including former Faculty Principal David Snyder.

ALT alt text: I’m a student at the University of South Carolina, and I’m writing to you today about the sexual harassment crisis that’s happening on our campus. It’s inexcusable that the university still employs faculty and staff who have sexually harassed their coworkers and my fellow students. These abusers, including David Voros, Robert Richmond, David Snyder, and Mike Dollar, and all of their enablers, must be fired. The administration must request an independent review of its system for dealing with abuse allegations, and reform the system to allow for transparency and accountability. Paid vacations are not enough - the administration must act, and they must act now.
Only twelve hours remain until we march to #FireAllAbusers! We're beyond impressed at how many people have pledged their support, and how many are going to turn out tomorrow! Let's show the administration who USC really is.
