1/ What a session. I believe I saw people sleeping in front of the door to get a seat in the first row when doors opened! Thanks to #AAIC25 for giving us the opportunity to organize this FRS, and thanks to everyone who came and participated in the cool discussion!

Our paper on MTL network connectivity in aging & AD is finally out in @Brain1878! with @RobindeFlores @ChetelatLab @Neuropresage
By analysing functional connectivity within medial temporal lobe networks, Chauveau et al. provide evidence that hyperconnectivity within the anterior-temporal network is key to the pathophysiology and progression of Alzheimer's disease. tinyurl.com/3ery3pyh

4/5 šŸ’” Longitudinal increase in rsFC strength between the anterior hippocampus and the superior precuneus was associated with higher early AD pathology and cognitive decline only in APOE4 carriers.

5/5 🧳 Our findings highlight region-specific differences in rsFC strength between ā€œnormalā€ aging and early AD pathology and shed light on early changes with AD pathology, which might already be disadvantageous for episodic memory performance in APOE4 carriers.

I can only add my thanks for this fantastic workshop! I learnt so much about biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, met great people, was on a boat in the sunshine and got first place for our project idea with my group. It couldn't have been better. ā˜€ļø
It has been an amazing week (and lots of fun!) at the 6th Biomarkers in Neurodegenerative Diseases PhD course in Gothenburg, the best biomarkers course in the šŸŒ! Many thanks to @_michael_scholl @aitanasogorb @tautangles for the splendid organisation! See you next year!
