this is the problem with the crypto industry.
large creators simply use social trading as a megaphone to turn their followers into exit liquidity.
social trading was supposed to hold creators accountable.
yet it just made it easier for them to grow and dupe even more people..
One of crypto's largest KOLs has been secretly extracting millions from his audience
We’ll expose him soon
Unfortunately, he’s just a symptom of a much bigger problem
Social trading has brought out the worst in KOLs. It was designed to keep them honest by making every trade public. In reality, the opposite happened
In just a few weeks, we exposed a number of "top social traders" using the same tricks:
• Public wallets to attract copy traders
• Side wallets to dump
• Callouts to farm rewards
• Bundled tokens to hide supply
And there are plenty more doing the exact same thing
Why? Because our industry incentivizes it
1) Launchpads allow it
Most launchpads today are obsessed with one thing: volume. Millions in callout rewards, affiliate links, and top leaderboards. Almost nothing on detecting bundles, side wallets, or shady traders. Scams drive volume. Launchpads have no reason to stop it (other than actually caring about their users)
2) Social trading incentivizes it
Side wallets have become a business model. Before social trading, only big KOLs could do it. Now, anyone who lands on a leaderboard can monetize by dumping on their copy-traders. The temptation is real
3) CT normalizes bundle culture
“Everyone bundles. It's how it's done" - an excuse we hear every time we expose a KOL. Supply control isn't the problem. Hiding it is. If it's so bullish, why hide it? Spoiler: because you're planning to sell
***
Launchpads are paying millions to dishonest KOLs. It's time they start taking it seriously
Audit the top traders. Expose their side wallets. Ban repeat offenders
We have the tools. What's missing is the willingness to use them
No one's coming to save us

.@MateenMohmmed_ reveals he joined crypto when bitcoin was at £600
"I came into crypto in 2017 as an investor. Did technology at uni, started my first startup in 2016. We used to go to Google Campus and there was a Bitcoin machine - Bitcoin was £600 at the time."
"When I graduated I got a little bit of money and went all in on crypto. But I really came for the promise of blockchain - bank the unbanked, permissionless system, get rid of the middleman, egalitarian societies."
.@MateenMommed_ reveals how he got robbed trading meme coins during his early years in crypto.
"In 2024, I got robbed for quite a large sum trading memes on Solana. There was a project I believed in, supposedly building some tech. I told friends and family to get in and within 24 hours everyone got robbed."
"I've been robbed before, that's part of the game. But because I put my reputation on the line and hurt my friends and family, I became really disenchanted. Too many bad actors, too many pump and dumps."
"When I came into blockchain in 2017 it was about banking the unbanked."
.@MateenMohmmed_ shares his philosophy about life that keeps him going.
"If we were any of those 2 billion people, we'd want people not in poverty in our shoes to help us. We're blessed in this position."
"From a very early age I was exposed to this philosophy and it stood with me throughout everything I did."
.@MateenMohammed_ reveals he came into web3 from a value investment perspective.
"In 2017 we had all these hopes. Fast forward to 2024, everything moved towards memes. Memes got so much mindshare."
"I come from a value investment perspective. I do angel investing in Web2. I never understood the intrinsic value of memes. So I brushed it off."
"Then I watched Dumb Money on a plane to Dubai. Retail coming together through the internet, cult-like community strong enough to take down Wall Street. Light bulb moment - memes DO have inherent value."
"The inherent value is the community. It's a function of how tightly knit and how big the community is."
.@MateenMohmmed_ says he started Hammieverse as a medium to make the world a better place.
"I wanted my next startup to be something that was going to make the world a better place and could be monetized."
"So I started with the Hamiverse Foundation because I wanted to put my money where my mouth is. Building wells for 3000 people, medical outreach, disaster relief, renovating orphanages and schools."
.@MateenMohammed_ says Hamieverse was made out of his frustration with the entertainment industry.
"Hamiverse was born out of my frustration with the current state of entertainment. It's trying to hack our minds with psychological dopamine hits, quick fixes, instant gratification."
"It leads to addiction. Over time it rots the person's brain and this is psychologically proven."
We went on a mission to change that.
.@MateenMohammed_ says entertainment was falling off as a whole which made him start hamieverse.
"We were in love with Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Harry Potter, Star Wars... Modern entertainment doesn't do the same things for us anymore."
"It's a lot of dopamine hits, instant gratification and mindless scrolling which scientifically rots your brain."
That's why we started Hamiverse.”
.@OutcomeAhmed was asked to describe the evolvement of prediction markets in the last few years.
“Yeah, things have definitely been evolving quite a lot [in] the prediction market and event space."
Volumes have been growing. [More people] getting onboarded to prediction markets."
It's across the board, across the protocols and different prediction markets."
So overall there's definitely an increase you can see. Would say it's definitely a focus for many teams."
APAC generally where a lot of the exposure trading and derivatives also there, right? So it's like a natural overlap between prediction markets and events [and] the derivative, futures, spot traders.”
“Are traders the new celebrities?”
"Wait do you think traders are the new celebrities? Yeah but where's the new celebrities."
"I mean yeah but they keep f*cking ruining it for us bro. Like Kimchi got hacked right? So that ruined that. But he had all the aura."
"Signed to Pump Fun, next day got hacked. Drove all the momentum off on Aura Final Boss. Bro where's Moose man? Moose is down so much money."

Team talk about Relgio being guaranteed a base pass,as he’s made the most money on there.
"If we look right he's already guaranteed a Base Pass. I don't think anyone is making more money on Base than him. I attempted but I've only made like $200. He's really good at Base, he's a great trader and I really respect him."
"So if we look at the top three they're gonna be coming and Eustas - well if Roldo's gonna get the Base Pass, Eustas will come anyway cause he will be in 3rd automatically cause that seat is open because Roldo's already on the Battle Pass seat."
"If I can win on points, Base Pass whatever - I'm fifth so it makes sense. I really want to come and it was really tough for me mentally yesterday. I was up like 5 something K then I lost the lead to Eustas."
"And Dani’s insane man. Dani’s crazy - he's a great trader."
