End of Watch: Corporal Dakota Lee Davis
Some losses are difficult to put into words. Corporal Dakota Lee Davis was just 25 years old when his life was tragically cut short on October 26, 2026.
A corporal with the Prattville Police Department, Davis was more than the badge he wore. He was a husband, a son, a friend, and a fellow officer. He and his wife, Chloe, had been married for only a few weeks and had just begun building their life together.
As the National Fraternal Order of Police, one of our greatest honors is remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and ensuring their names, their service, and their stories are never forgotten.
Today, we remember Corporal Davis. We honor the life he lived, the community he served, and the family and fellow officers who must carry his memory forward.
To Chloe, the Davis family, and everyone at the Prattville Police Department, our hearts are with you.
Rest in peace, Corporal Davis. We will remember you.

A final procession for a life of service and sacrifice.
Philadelphia police officers gathered to escort Officer Shane Seiber to his funeral, accompanied by the sound of drums and bagpipes. His casket, draped in the American flag, traveled beneath a flag arch formed by Philadelphia firefighters.
Today, we honor Officer Seiber’s service, remember the life he lived, and stand with the family, friends, and fellow officers who carry his memory forward.
Rest in peace, Officer Seiber. You will not be forgotten.

Last night, we lit up Broad Street for the kids at Shriners Children’s. Good Night Lights is our way of reminding them and their families that we’re here for them. And those little hands waving back from the windows? We needed that, too!

While families sleep, officers are still answering calls, patrolling streets and watching over their communities.
The work doesn't stop when most of the world goes to bed.

“He was our very own Mr. Incredible.”
At a memorial service in Melbourne, Courtney Morris remembered her father, Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Morris, who was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-95 while responding to a call on October 10.
Behind the badge was a father, a loved one, and a hero to the people who knew him best. Today, we remember Deputy Morris and the family who must carry on without him.
Our thoughts are with the Morris family and his fellow deputies as they honor his life and service.

You may know his name. They know his legacy.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Owen, known as “Bullfrog,” left behind a legacy of service that continues to live on through the people who knew and served alongside him.
We remember his sacrifice, honor his service, and will never forget his name.

PTSD in law enforcement doesn’t always look like the movies.
It isn’t always dramatic flashbacks or breaking down on cue.
Sometimes it looks like silence. Irritability. Mood changes. Emotional numbness.
Sometimes it looks like putting on a uniform, going to work, putting on a smile, and pretending everything is fine.
You don’t have to carry it all alone.
