One of my best friends is a liberal and heโs celebrating the election results
We disagree on almost everything politically. I make fun of him, he makes fun of me, we argue about politics, and then we hit the gym like nothing happened.
Heโs cheering today. Iโll give him crap about it tomorrow.
At the end of the day, heโs still one of my best friends.
You donโt have to agree with someoneโs politics to respect them or enjoy their company.
People have completely lost sight of this.
Your political views shouldnโt determine who you can be friends with.
Newsflash - this isnโt rage bait.
Weโll revisit this in 4-6 yearsโ time - hopefully heโs wrong.

As an Iranian woman who watched my country get ruined by Islamists, was bitten by the morality police, and saw my sisters and brothers die in the streets for protesting for freedom, I warn you Americans: donโt assume it canโt happen here.
Before 1979, many Iranians thought their relatively modern society was safe from a full Islamist takeover. They were wrong. After the revolution, Sharia became law. Women lost fundamental rights overnight. The legal marriage age for girls dropped to 9โ13 (with guardian and court approval). Compulsory hijab was enforced and everyday freedoms vanished. Even something ordinary like Owning a pet dog became haram(forbidden), under the regimeโs rules, dogs are ritually impure, and dog-walking is banned in many cities.
Many Iranians spent the rest of their lives under a system they never thought possible.
I tell you because I lived this, I watched this, I felt this.
Donโt make the same mistake of thinking โit canโt happen here.โ The warning signs are visible, yet too many still refuse to see them.

Denied my right to vote locally
I showed up to vote today. I'm a candidate on the ballot. They told me I had to drive to Norwalk to vote in person. (35 miles from Santa Monica).
Not because of my registration. They said all candidates have to vote there. This is incorrect.
Elections Code 14310 is clear. If they can't confirm you on the spot, you get a provisional ballot. They must offer it. They didn't.
The LA County representative was uneducated in this process. This is the organization we deal with. This is why people don't want to run for office. This is why people don't want to vote. LA County's organization is absolutely atrocious.
I'm still voting. You should too. โ at Santa Monica, CA
Dear very rich people who fly private - donโt get on a Lear 60โฆ
Replying to @Matt_Bracken48
Long post worth the read. I have a close friend who flies private jets. He flew Lear 60 for over 15 years and now flies a Gulfstream. This is a copy and paste of his response to me asking him if he thought Ice was the issue.
โWe always fly in ridiculous cold temperatures.โ
โUsually you get the bad ice when the temperatures are like 0 to negative 20. Believe it or not, there's a point where it gets too cold for ice. At negative 40, you pretty much can't get ice. Besides that, the airplane is equipped with hot wings and hot tail.โ
โI flew the Lear 60 for like 15 years. It's a no joke airplane and probably the most dangerous airplane I've ever flown. It has a super critical wing. The airflow has to be perfect. When it gets into rough air and turbulence, it will easily stall. It has stalled on me at 41,000 feet just because we got into some turbulence. (On the way to Palm Beach as a matter of fact. ) we recovered and got her flying again around 30,000 ft. Scary
But here's the problem. This airplane has a terrible coffin corner. (At high altitudes) what that means is, you fly in a really narrow window where if you lose 20 knots, it stalls. And if you gain 20 knots, it goes into overspeed. The air goes supersonic over the wing and it goes into a high speed stall, or worse, a Mach tuck.
So if you stall, the normal recovery is to push the yoke forward to lower the nose and gain air speed again. At low altitude, you can push really hard and recover quickly. But in the 60... if you push hard, it will gain air speed and go into a high speed stall, it doesn't take much. It's very sensitive. The 60 has super short wings that don't make much lift. So then you high speed stall, and the computer is yelling at you... OVERSPEED! So then you pull back and enter a low speed stall. And you go back and forth trying to keep it in the air speed window.
This whole thing is pretty scary. And you should recover basically by using your finger tips using super small corrections. You can't over do it. If you try to muscle the recovery, she gets mad and will become unrecoverable. If she enters a mach tuck. You're done.โ
โI taught the Lear 60 to other pilots and mentored them. I told them... this airplane has a soul and it's trying to kill you. Do not ever try to top the weather. Don't go over a thunderstorm. Go around it. If it means a half hour longer, then do it. Going over the thunderstorm will go into turbulence that you might not recover from.
These pilots went right over a thunderstorm. I think it stalled which caused them to drop down into the thunderstorm and ended up in mach tuck. They picked up so much speed that it ripped off the horizontal stabilizer. At that point... chuck Yeager can't fix it.
These same pilots did something similar a couple months ago. ATC got mad at them. They poked the bear one too many times.
This is not a beginner airplane. The Gulfstream would never do this. It has HUGE margins of error and won't stall like that. But then again... it's got HUGE wings. It's a pussy cat.
The Gulfstream is like driving a 4 wheeler. The Lear 60 is like riding a uni cycle.โ

This is a masterclass in taqiyya.
Abdul doesnโt actually believe in this trans stuff. As a devout Muslim, he worships at a mosque where thereโs strict gender segregation and women sit in the back.
They certainly wouldnโt allow men into womenโs bathrooms.
But taqiyya allows him to pretend otherwise in order to gain power and advance the cause of Islam.
When Muslims have enough power, they will no longer need to pretend.

Modern Pokรฉmon cards have actually dropped in price significantly, by 20-50% from their peak prices.
This is because they were overprinted, and as the hype died down, prices fell.
Older cards, meanwhile, are holding their value or even increasing in price.

Ram Chhetri came to the US as a refugee, but this might be worst day of his life: It's the moment he realizes the $80k-$160k/year salary he's bilked from Medicaid for no-show work is coming to an end because @realdailywire caught the truth on camera.
We conducted months of surveillance that shows why "home care aide" is now the *most common job* in states like NY, CA, MN, and PA: Because a large part of those jobs are unambiguous Medicaid fraud.
Thanks to home care, Bhutanese refugees now make more money than actual PA families. The state doesn't just look the other way, but helps them get away with it. Converting federal health dollars into a universal basic income for certain communities relieves the financial burden they place on the state.
The scammers easily deceive the feds' woefully broken monitoring system. You'll see Ram pull into a driveway for 2 minutes in the morning, then 2 minutes in the evening. He clocks in and out of his shift from the right place, and the GPS system doesn't notice that he goes home in between.
$20 an hour doesn't sound like much, but at 77 hours a week, it's $80kโand it's easy to bill huge hours when you don't actually have to work them. And that's just for the low-level guys in this scheme.
