The number of startups based on open-source projects is thriving! π
When we raised on pre-seed round in 2018, I can tell you the startup ecosystem was very different.
Investors were reluctant to commercial open-source companies because it was just βfreeβ.
It is fantastic to see the ecosystem going in this direction.
Some good examples are: @calcom, @formbricks, @meilisearch, @neondatabase, etc.
Today, AurΓ©lien and I met a good friend, @steventey.
Steven has built @dubdotco, a link management platform.
Dub is growing extremely fast while being extremely efficient.
Before creating Dub, Steven worked at @vercel. Iβm sure this experience taught him how to ship that fast! cc @rauchg
At Strapi, we are one of their customers.
I can tell you their tool has been a game-changer!
Steven, it was great to have lunch with you (even if we forgot our lunch at the restaurant π
