lots of public pressure from the voters, they haven’t forgotten the last two years and the lack of fight from top level dems. makes sense why they’d demand change.
These numbers are going up, by the way: A Democratic House staffer told me their office got nearly 800 calls about Jeffries on Friday alone.
Most of the staffers I'm talking to describe this as the most call volume they've ever experienced. axios.com/2026/11/06/jeffrie…

> Democrats win midterms
> instantly try to prepare a 15 BILLION aid package
Fuck anyone who pretended Republicans and Democrats are the same or the republicans would be good for Ukraine
❗️Democrats in the US Congress are preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine of about $15 billion, which they may try to include in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) before the end of the current congressional session. They are also strengthening sanctions against Russia, prioritizing energy support for Ukraine, tightening control over Starlink services, and revising the Graham Act. Additionally, they plan to investigate the business interests of Trump’s envoys Witkoff and Kushner, according to the Financial Times.

He is currently getting ratio’d by people telling him he shouldn’t be Speaker. How can he be the Speaker when he doesn’t listen to the people.

Holy shit the guy is literally toasted and has no idea what is going on around him. There needs to be an immediate investigation on his staff as to how they are allowing this elder abuse just to keep their jobs

It’s interesting how none of Hakeem’s defenders seem to be able to make the case for why they believe he should be the speaker of the house. They can’t talk about his “leadership” because they know it’s been weak as hell, so they’re just relying on identity reductionism.

The stubbornness of Biden helped re-elect Trump in 24. Joe wanted to go out on his terms. Now we’re supposed to just sit and watch Schumer become Maj Leader for his “Swan Song?” he’s proven ill-suited for the moment. How about leaders put something above pride?
Let’s break this down logically.
Schumer knows these are his last two years in office. If you know anything about him, you’d know that he would want to end his career on his own terms and go out on top.
He knows that if he ran again, he would lose renomination. Which is why I — and essentially everyone that works in Democratic politics in New York across the ideological spectrum — would be absolutely stunned if he runs for re-election.
So why would someone launching a primary campaign against him before January change his plans to run for majority leader?
He likely views these last two years as majority leader as his swan song.
