I'll say it again. A🥴ntu's ONLY policy is to get into government with FFG so they can bring back a ban on abortion and replace sex education with Catholic dogma. The rest is just window dressing - with some cruelty to asylum seekers and slurry in our rivers thrown in as a bonus.
Peadar Toibin gets an easy ride from the media because at the end of the day he doesn't threaten corporate power or the people with money. He's a threat to the human rights of women, lgbt people, migrants and to nature, to people who don't matter to 'official Irieland'. 1/2

Jo Jo Dullard’s family pleaded with a Fine Gael justice minister more than 25 years ago to help sanction a search of a farm gardaí sealed off yesterday after the arrest of its owner – a deceased ex-Fine Gael politician’s son – on suspicion of her murder. ontheditch.com/son-of-ex-sen…

RTÉ’s election coverage be like "This is Maura Derrane of Fine Gael interviewing Gráinne Seoige of Fianna Fáil in Fianna Fáil headquarters. Now back to Miriam O'Callaghan of Fianna Fáil in the studio".

Are centrists going to suddenly realise that genocide is bad?

Gone is a genocidal president too hypocritical to admit it. And in comes a genocidal president who wears it as a badge of honor.

It's baffling to me that every news story covering the tech-right seems to frame their support of Trump as a pure business calculus and not the obvious fact that a ton of them are deeply reactionary and sympathetic to authoritarianism as, like, a core value

Hannah Arendt spoke of the banality of evil. She said that the frightening thing about people who commit or go along with evil acts like genocide is not that there is something unusual about them but rather that that they are so “terribly and terrifyingly normal.” It was this normality that was “more terrifying than all the atrocities put together.” I look around today and see the many people among my neighbors, my colleagues, my relatives, the politicians and the media, who support or tolerate this genocide in Palestine, and I am terrified. Not only for Palestine, but for all of humanity. Not only for today, but for the future.

I helped work on the Khmer Rouge tribunals in Cambodia where we got convictions of gen0cide and crimes against humanity. And this was without REAL TIME STREAMING of every single atrocity committed. This was without the perpetrators uploading their crimes to social media. This was without the entire world witnessing the eradication of millions of Cambodian citizens before our eyes. Yet still, with EVERYTHING WE HAVE - we will have no trial, arrest warrants or consequences. With all the “great power” blocking every and any move for justice. Shame.
