Comedy. Our country is healing
All of our soybeans are going to market over the next week. I really questioned my aggressive approach to marketing beans this year when I was pulling the trigger at the $13 level. I guess I always think the market could go higher. Glad I was wrong in this case.
Completed harvesting my 4th crop yesterday. Resurrecting this old farm has been the challenge of a lifetime. But, I’ve made it this far. Hopeful for the future. Thankful for the past. Grateful for surviving to date. Now….Rest.
Pioneer 13777V & 12517V under irrigation this year. Both triple stack varieties. Both flat as a pancake. At least it was weak stalks that caused it and not root worms. Makes me feel so much better for spending $400/bag in April. Anyone else tired of seed prices?
The season is over for Nebraska Football. We’ll end up in a meaningless toilet bowl, at best, once again. Ridiculous….
Beans averaged 70. Nothing special. That’s about “normal” for us. Corn is outstanding. Just getting started. But, it should easily go 30-50 bushels better than last yr. We are merely caretakers of God’s creation. His provision amazes me. Every year.
Finally got started with harvest yesterday. Up at 4am this morning and looking forward to a good day. It’s harvest season. Magical time of year. IYKYK….
My weather app says the sun is going to begin revealing itself at 11am this morning. If true, it’ll be the first time I’ve seen the sun in two weeks. Either my weather app is wrong (again) or we’re turning a corner and maybe harvest can start in a few days.
Football coaches should stop teaching QB’s to slide. Just because there’s a “rule” doesn’t mean you won’t get your head knocked off. It’s true in football as it is in life. Look out for yourself. The “rules” make us feel good but they only provide a false sense of security
