Scotland is not a member of the UK. Scotland is an integral part of the UK as much as Provence is part of France. The UK is not some sort of club like the EU.

Shirley-Anne Somerville on #BBCSundayShow repeatedly states “we have not seen the detail” behind the Jackdaw consenting decision. But the UK government published a 92-page document fully explaining the consenting decision. @S_A_Somerville can find it here: assets.publishing.service.go…

For the avoidance of doubt (since some have been asking), the 800 on the Scottish public payroll without proper jobs does NOT include the 129 MSPs in Holyrood 🤣🤣🤣
Astounding Sunday Times investigation reveals new scandal in SNP’s Socialist Scotland: 800 NHS, central government, council and quango workers whose jobs no longer exist but remain on the public payroll because of the SNP’s ‘no public-sector redundancy’ policy. Estimated cost of paying people to do nothing: £27m a year. One NHS Highland worker has been receiving a full salary and benefits for 17 years despite not having a specific job. The health board refused to say what the worker had been doing for almost two decades and how much they had been paid. Likely cost to the taxpayer is expected to be far higher with several public bodies refusing to disclose salaries for hundreds of the workers awaiting redeployment.

The IFS says Scot Gov resource funding in 2025–26 will be 12.4% higher in real terms than in 2010–11. @S_A_Somerville claims this is just funding of new responsibilities (eg social security). This is completely false. Obviously the IFS has adjusted for that. They are not idiots.

1) John Swinney announces new £30m fund to combat far right in Scotland. If you missed this little trinket, you are not alone; John Swinney’s thinly veiled attack on his political opponents and democracy went almost unreported as he announced in the SNP conference that he would

Gillian Mackay has another go at answering the question: “Does Israel have the right to exist?” Funnily enough, her answer is now indistinguishable from Ross Greer’s. I’m not sure Gillian Mackay is capable of having an opinion without first finding out what Ross Greer thinks.

Money Talks I wonder if Ross Greer's sudden announcement that 'Hamas are not terrorists' was influenced by the fact that Zack Polanski recently agreed a big ÂŁ150,000 loan to the Scottish Greens?

Utter stupidity.
What next? The countries gone mad. Isn't it amazing how quickly Glasgow Life can action a revised ethics code from June 2026 and whip 4,000-year-old mummies off display because they never filled out the consent form. Where have they put them now, did the mummies consent to that either? Meanwhile the SNP is still ‘working through the complexities’ of a Supreme Court ruling from April 2025 that a woman is a biological female, even though they distinctly said they were fine with it. The dead are moving faster than Holyrood these days. Tut Tut.

Sturgeon and Freeman dumped nearly 3,000 mostly untested elderly patients into care homes in the first weeks of the pandemic, then watched the death rate explode while they prioritised hospital beds and defended the policy. Sturgeon had already been Health Minister during earlier C. difficile outbreaks driven by the same practice of discharging untested patients into care homes and knew the risk to frail, congregate elderly populations. Sturgeon's government chose hospital capacity first anyway, delayed mandatory testing until 21 April, and later spun the higher Scottish care-home death share. The result was catastrophic: 47% of Scotland’s COVID-attributed deaths occurred in care homes, against ~30% in England.

A rare moment of political courage in the British Parliament. British MP Nick Timothy tells Muslims crying “Islamophobia” to shove it: “Muhammad was a false prophet. Britain is not bound by Islam or Sharia.”
What turned the nation that once set the standard for Western civilisation into a people that now hates its own history, sacrifices its own children, and bends the knee to those who want it destroyed? Britain was the moral compass of the free world. Cold, reserved, unsentimental. Never stupid, never suicidal. While America turned the hamburger into a global brand, you drank tea with an accent that announced you as the heirs of Shakespeare, common law, parliamentary government and an empire that had shaped the modern world. You were not ashamed of what made you British. You treated it as a birthright. What changed? How did a people famous for the stiff upper lip become addicted to self-flagellation? How did defending your borders, your culture and your own become a thought crime, while importing those who openly despise everything you represent became a civic virtue? The moment anyone names the pattern, it is not outsiders who come for them. It is their own institutions. You keep open the embassy of the Iranian regime that has plotted terror on British soil and called for the murder of Britons. You sanction the one ally that warned you and helped stop the attack. You send troops abroad while jihadists walk free on your streets. Anyone who points this out is branded the problem by the same establishment that created it. Other nations should study Britain as a warning, not a model. Watch for the symptoms: when your elites treat your own people as the enemy. When patriotism becomes a sin and open borders a sacrament. When the votes of those who reject your civilisation matter more than the safety of those who built it. Britain chose that path. The results are no longer deniable. Protect your own people first. Stop appeasing those who hate you. Enough is enough is enough!

Read some history! The idea of an oil fund was extensively debated in the 1970s and 80s. It’s all in Hansard. Criticising the decision not to establish one is perfectly legitimate. But pretending the possibility was denied until yesterday is just idiotic.

Calling someone else's writing “slop” when you edit a nationalist paper that barely sells 2,500 print copies is quite something, Laura. You've now replied twice in ten minutes to tell me how “bored” and unbothered you are, yet you still haven't answered the question: how was an independent Scotland supposed to build a Norwegian wealth fund when the 2014 White Paper needed every penny of oil revenue just to fix the day-to-day deficit? Keep shouting “bot” if it helps you dodge your own movement's numbers, though.😂
Don't flatter yourself (if you are even a person) - I'm just bored of seeing your AI slop everywhere
