You will know your children as adults for the majority of their lives. Invest in their childhood memories. You’ll have the rest of your life to make money.
Hey @elonmusk satellite internet is cool and all. But I kinda miss looking up at the stars at night and not seeing several of your satellites going by. Just saying.
It should have been me with the nails in my hands and feet, facing the wrath of God but by His grace and mercy He sent, in my place, His only son to die for me to satisfy the ultimate judgement I deserve.
Now I live to serve Him.
All praise and glory to God, the creator of the universe and everything that’s in it!

In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross.
In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress.
At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped.
A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him.
Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours!
The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion.
To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific.
This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine.
Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father.
Thank You, Jesus.

It is a sign of great strength to acknowledge a need for Jesus in your life. Not weakness. Strength.
It has arrived! Iagon delivered as promised. Can’t wait to fire this thing up. @IagonOfficial
About to head back to the US. I’ve spent the last two months in Costa Rica. Not my first trip been coming here for many years but after this stay I’m not sure when I’ll be back…
I’ve noticed a growing animosity towards gringos. Quite understandable to a point. The type of gringo this place has attracted over the years and growing in numbers is like what I imagine Portland is like. Everything from your LGBT hippie vegan to moon worshipping witchcraft crazies. I completely understand the dislike. It goes counter to the deep catholic culture Latin America is known for. I just hate to be grouped with such, that’s why I’ve always avoided touristy places and go way off the path but it seems like the once sparse places are being permeated at all sides.
They don’t even try to learn Spanish and think the Ticos here should know English, it’s insulting. Prices on most everything has increased exponentially and many places outside of a Tico ran operation is unaffordable to the locals. It’s truly sad to see.
Costa Rica is a special place but it’s quickly becoming a crime ridden non conservative leaning country with a hatred toward gringo tourists. Don’t get me wrong there are still many amazing Ticos here who embody the Pura Vida lifestyle. They are the most humble and hospitable people you’ll meet. Just feels like that generation is dying out.
After years of being laughed at, called a quack, antivaxxer, “where’d you get your medical degree? Google?” And countless other slanderous remarks. People are finally starting to listen and ask questions.
There’s no such thing as “gun violence”. It’s merely evil utilizing the tools of mankind. You are sheep among wolves, stop pretending they don’t have teeth and arm yourself to protect you and your family.

Do you think God loves that little 8 year old child less than he loves you?
Do you think that his parents, being devout catholics, didn't pray daily for his protection?
Do you think they weren’t fervently pleading to God to spare the live of their son as he was being rushed to the hospital?
Do you think that God ignored those desperate cries because of some sin in their lives, or because having a church full of children be gunned down is part of some divine plan, or because perhaps he doesn't exist at all?
Or could it be,
that the same free will that God has endowed you with, he has also given to your enemies?
"I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." Our Lord said to his disciples, and yet the modern church buries its head in some sand of theological ignorance and pretends the wolf doesn't have teeth.
“When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”
“But now" said the Lord, "if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."
Our enemies know all too well, but the church is for some reason still completely unaware that we are living in that "but now" moment.
Yes, the battle is the Lords, but if there's anything to be learned from the life of King David, it's that sometimes you must still swing the sword.
And if we are to survive under the immense pressure and constant threats of violence while we continue to build the church, then we must look to the story of Nehemiah for the age old solution to the problem of violent opposition.
"Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon."
I think about that verse often.
A tool in one hand and a weapon in the other.
Don't get me wrong, we should pray for supernatural protection, absolutely.
But like Nehemiah who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem amidst armed armies, the biblical solution is clear.
While we work to restore the broken and collapsed remnants of Christendom,
keep a bible in one hand, and a rifle in the other.
In Costa. One thing different from this trip is the amount of people I’ve watched approach me or while my wife and kids are in the vehicle, see Rip and immediately turn around.
Believe me when I tell you this bottle of lava is as hot as it looks. Picked it up at a roadside fruit stand in Costa Rica and the $6 price tag is ridiculously cheap cause it’s going to last a long time.
