Today marks the official last day of @acier. A bit more than 3 years ago we launched as an underdog delegate platform, without support from Labs, VCs, or entities, but strong from community backing.
The situation was dire. "DeFi is dead" was commonly accepted, Aave TVL had collapsed to a quarter of its cycle peak, the protocol was leaking tens of millions in incentives and operating expenses to leech service providers, while Labs was pivoting to raise money for a soon-to-fail social media platform.
During our tenure, we turned a 35M annual protocol deficit into a 150M/y revenue machine, outperformed far better-funded competition, saw $AAVE do a 9x and beat the market, and built an active network of top-tier aligned talent, service providers, and delegates.
We proved to the world that a DAO could be done, and could outperform. We're proud of that.
None of it would have been possible without you.
We're deeply grateful for every bit of support, and for the $AAVE holders who trusted us with their voting power, our success was yours and the North will remember in due time.
Today is the end of a chapter, but far from the end of the journey.
Still have a few good ideas to build the future of France, and expect news soon on something new.

I've been heads down building @FoglightPrivacy to bring privacy to Ethereum users, but I've never shared what Foglight is and why it will be the one to finally achieve the impossible.
This is your first sneak peek.
Fear is the main reason 99+% of Ethereum users have zero privacy today.
- Users fear being banned from exchanges or even having bank accounts forcibly closed, simply because they used a privacy tool.
- Wallets and apps fear getting prison time on money laundering charges.
This fear is the key thing to overcome, and no privacy solution addresses this sufficiently as evidenced by the near-zero privacy adoption today:
- Railgun has <200 daily users
- Privacy Pools has <50 daily users
Foglight will be the only solution that can resolve this fear.
How? By offering a privacy system that satisfies two seemingly conflicting requirements:
- Government authorities must be able to trace money laundering transactions and get exact details
- Law-abiding users must know their privacy remains intact with certainty

Aave LLC has filed an emergency motion to vacate a restraining notice served on Arbitrum DAO on May 1, 2026 that attempts to seize approximately $71 million in ETH belonging to victims of the April 18 exploit.
A thief does not gain lawful ownership of stolen property simply by taking it, and the law is clear on this. Those assets were recovered to be returned to users victimized in the April 18, 2026 exploit. Freezing them harms the very people this recovery effort is designed to protect.
We’ve asked the court for an expedited hearing and a temporary vacatur, and we are continuing to work alongside the Arbitrum community and DeFi United to make affected users whole.
